Cagneys Chip Shop in Belfast

Walked past this place many times and it's always been really busy. Managed to see some space this time so gave it a go. Cracking fish and chips and friendly staff. Will be taking a scoot back sometime soon.

Had sausage and chips, taste was ok but the portion size was a complete joke Had curry sauce as well, it was a small pot anyway but only filled half way- never again I'm afraid

Disinterested staff, lengthy wait even though place was empty

Food made to order, so can take time for the food to arrive and is very hot.For my taste, it was a bit bland. My husband had the steakette, it was a fried burger patty, a bit gross for me. Tastes greasy and frozen.Nothing special and certain items were a bit pricey.

Big Fan of mannys on the Antrim road, but this shop has let me down. Went in last week and got a sausage supper with cheese and gravy, got back to work to eat my lunch and there was no sausages, not a big deal for me at the time as we all make mistakes. Went in a few days ago again as the foods nice, ordered a sausage supper again with cheese and gravy and a pasty, the woman behind the till took around 5 minutes to charge me and then forgot what I ordered spent the whole time talking to the other girl working, I told her again whilst she was ringing in the items and that was grand paid waited around 10 minutes for the food and when I got back to the shop I had no pasty. Disappointing service but still good food

Nice fish and chips... Yummy

After receiving a review from our recent tour guide to try Manny's, we were excited to go. The excitement stopped as soon as we walked in. While the place was clean, that was it's only redeeming quality. Manny's is basically a sub par fast food restaurant. We all tried the code supper and all agreed it was awful, the worst food we have had on the trip. The food came out on a tiny plate, devoid of any visual appeal. The fish was very dry and has no flavor at all. Even after dumping all the vinegar and lemon juice available, there was still little flavor. The chips appeared to be tossed on to the plate as an after thought. They too were lacking any flavor and seemed either very undercooked, or very old and soggy. We all were very disappointed with Manny's and quickly left to go find better food, which was easy every place we walked past looked better. Do not go! The highlight of the whole experience was the nicely painted mural on the building across the street.
