Obento Japanese Express in Belfast

A decent place for a quick lunch. Pork ramen was ok and we liked the grilled chicken with rice bento box. But portions were on the small side, and the tempura was a bit of disappointment too as it did not have the usual crispy and light texture one would expect. One good thing is that the staff here are all friendly and helpful. This place accepts cash only and you need to pay upfront.

It’s noodle soup, definitely not ramen. Good for a cold day if you just want something to warm you up, but manage your expectations

Fab little place to get great ramen. Never had a bad time there and very reasonably priced

Amazing food and nice cosy space upstairs

One of only a few places left that take only cash. But I enjoyed the ramen and the sushi was good too.

Amazing flavors, great food

The chasu pork ramen is not good, the ramen is definitely not fresh, the meat isn’t chasu, also it had wakame in it for some reason, you only get a quarter of an egg and a tiny bit of spring onion. Disappointed is a understatement. BUT they were very nice about me saying that I didn’t like much and offered to change my order, I got salmon sashimi and 6 pieces of cucumber maki.

Great wee place with top food at a not too mad price. Best Google how to use chopsticks before you go in though! But all in highly recommend.

Food was absolutely amazing the miso soup was not my thing but great customer service and everyone sitting close together just like the proper Japanese restaurants in Japan... ありがとうございました

I was so happy with the ramen soup I had... The Pork Chashu is melting every bite and the soup is rich and milky... The sashimi is also great but I wish it had that cuttlefish they had on the menu (I should have had the Deluxe Sashimi)It would also be nice to be offered a shichimi chili tho... Overall it was a lovely experience and I would recommend!
