Amazing thali. Highly recommend. They have lunch, teatime and dinner thali with a meat or veg option. Great portions, I've usually enough to take home with me for breakfast.

Felt it was time to leave a review as we have eaten with Chapter and Verse many times over the past year or so, both takeaways and dining in. Cannot fault the food at all. These are the best curries in the area by a mile, absolutely beautiful!

Had a birthday meal for my neice.....All food was well prepared and presented also very tasty.I had the steak and it was cooked just the way I like it also had a nice seasoning on it.Best steak I've had in forfar.

Fave place to eat in forfar. Food's amazing, restaurant is quite fancy too. Good banter with one of the staff members today. Love it! Defo be coming back for a 6th visit 👌

Great selection of Indian , British and Italian meals. All cooked fresh and the food is excellent. Friendly staff and very reasonably priced. This restaurant is a must visit place.

Came here with the children and their grandparents. We had booked in advance but the girl who greeted us gave us the feeling we were being fitted in the best they could even though we were very happy with our table. Drinks order was taken quickly but there seemed a reluctance to bring the menus with some excuse about being busy and staggering the orders or something (It didn’t look busy, there were many empty tables but I think their take away was). I insisted they bring the menus so we could decide what we wanted therefore making the process faster. I wasn’t comfortable with motivating them to do their job for them. It was about 25 minutes before our orders were finally taken and a further 45 minutes or so before our food arrived taking it to almost an hour and a half from when we first arrived. This is an unacceptable amount of time to have people waiting far less a group with two hungry children no matter how many times you apologies … The good news is that the food was exceptional. I had one of the curries which was cooked home style and one of the most delicious I’ve ever had. Everyone else in our company were more than pleased too with their food which is why I only dropped 1 star. Make the ordering process more efficient and professional and this place would be top notch

I highly recommend this restaurant. They are only friendly and attentive but they also made sure to cater to any food restrictions/allergies. I felt welcomed and valued as a patron.(The venison was so tender and the sauce complimented it perfectly)

Last minute visit after a swim and really glad we chose here. Menu is extensive which we were concerned about to be honest as seemed too large to be fresh....but curry's section was most prominent so we went for this and really enjoyed it! Little boy got a pizza and chips option from their kids menu which was freshly made and tasted great too. Saw someone having fish which also looked great. We will definitely be back.
