Gordon's Restaurant in Angus

Having recently moved to Scotland we wanted to try Gordon’s Restaurant with some friends last night. What we experienced was a gastronomic tasting experience delight. Having experienced many other fine dining restaurants, Claridges, The Ivy, The Savoy, to name just a few, I can honestly say the food at Gordon’s Restaurant was easily on a par and in some instances surpassed these. We count ourselves lucky to have Garry such a talented chef, and Maria front of house so close to where we now live. I’m sure we will be returning very soon.

Wow! Cannot believe this restaurant is so close to us and we have never been. This was one of the best meals we have ever had. The ambiance of the restaurant, standard of food and service is second to none. First class all round.

My wife and I have travelled world wide and our 3 visits to Gordons have been a culinary delight with superb food on all three occasions, beautifully served and just the right size of portions leaving you feeling very replete. Wish we lived a bit closer to this delightful restaurant to make more regular visits. Thanks for a very memorable occasion last night.

This place is amazing! We have been a few times and have never been disappointed. The restaurant is tastefully decorated, the staff are very friendly and professional and the food is exquisite.

An amazing somewhat hidden secret due to its location but food, service and staff up there with the top Michelin started restaurants of the world. Gary, your dishes would make your father very happy. A absolute delight of a family owned restaurant.

A hidden gem of Scottish fine dining just 5 miles from Arbroath. Winner of numerous awards, Gordon's offers excellent flavours in relaxed surroundings with a hint of timorous Beastie's decor.

Having visited Gordon's on the Sat. 30th July, would have to say for a person that only gives a 9 as there is always room for improvement, this one scored a 10+, Gary and Maria are great hosts and the setting/ rooms are lovely, the food is exceptional presentation and flavours, will be a definite returning customer. Not cheap but excellent value for money. should be given a Michelin star award.

We travel all over Scotland for fine dining experiences and our benchmark is Gordons in the last ten years no other establishment has been better.If you love good food you will not be disappointed , service and ambience is first class, though not cheap it's worth every penny.

We came all the way from Boston in the States justto savor the food again in this restaurant. The cheesesouffle is like a light-fluffy island in a sea of meltedcheese, heated to perfection so that the cheese crispsat the edges. The Angus beef course will make youpause to enjoy each bite; the succulent beef sits atopa bed of pesto julienne cabbage strips with pine nuts-wonderful flavors and textures! And the dessert - chocolateparfait, with a slice of pear cooked in wine and cinnamonnext to bittersweet chocolate sorbet - MAMMA MIA!Fabulous cooking - beautiful presentation, great flavorcombinations, and worth travelling across the world for.
