The Caledonian in Angus

My son & I stopped off at Brechin on our way north to Aberdeen from Edinburgh looking for good food and atmosphere. (Peggy Scott's was shut, I admit!). We found both at The Caledonian. It is obviously well-used and loved by locals, and the staff were just so welcoming. We travel this route fairly frequently and would look forward to another visit.

First time there. Would go back again. I had the Scotch burger and trimmings. It was magic. Menu is large and covers everybody's needs. Staff were more than helpful! Will return soon!!😎👍👍👍🍻🍺

Great atmosphere and friendly staff who make you feel very welcome. Food is great but portions are too generous for me! However, I have discovered that smaller portions in some cases are available. We visit regularly as we enjoy the atmosphere.
