The Coffee House in Angus

I do love going to the coffee house at lunch time in the afternoon.

Sadly, we won't return. Took my Dad for lunch as a thank you. His lunch came out 10 minutes before mine. We therefore couldn't eat lunch together of my Dad wanted his lunch hot. I mentioned this to the waitress; there was a cue for the sandwich maker and the baked potatoes were all ready. Poor excuse I felt. Much better cafe service elsewhere.

Lovely place tucked away by the Town Hall. We had mushroom soup which was absolutely delicious and egg and cress sandwiches. No frills but good honest food. Very reasonable prices. Plenty of tea in your pot as well. We'll worth a visit.

Always feel claustrophobic here, was it a prison at one time? Friendly staff, coffee acceptable, baked tattie ok.I had ordered lemon tea, unfortunately it was tea with slices of lemon which was not to my taste, coffee substituted without question. Thank you

First time at this lovely coffee house very quirky, food was delicious , very nice coffee the ladies serving were all pleasant and work hard to please will definitely go back thank you. 👍😍

Excellent home made sandwiches and carrot cake. Lovely atmosphere plus a wee gift shop if so inclined! Would have given it 5 stars but it was on the small side for those with a larger frame😏Back again, Scotch broth was superb and the carrot cake again. Coffee was a bit on the weak side otherwise fantastic wee place.

Tea, food and cakes are good and well priced. The coffee wasn't the best unfortunately, but the service was fantastic.
