Recently had a two night stay here on a work trip. Received a warm friendly welcome, after a long drive. Quickly shown to my room - which was excellent, nipping clean, spacious, with a great en suite shower and a really comfortable bed.The bar was warm and cozy with polite and attentive staff.Had dinner in the restaurant, on the second night. Tandoori Chicken Pizza, Chicken Curry pilau and fries with two drinks.Food came at about thirty minutes (just right) and was clearly homemade. Delicious. Thoroughly enjoyed by both myself and colleague.Would totally recommend this hotel and stay here again when opportunity arises.

Xmas Dinner was terrible. No festive table settings, frozen roasties and microwave bagged veg (sprouts and carrots half raw, broccoli overdone) with packet slices of turkey. My vegan Wellington Slice was unidentifiable brown mush, with burnt pastry from being shoved under a grill/hot light to reheat. Tablet cheesecake was still half frozen. Admittedly the chutney and poppadoms appetiser was delicious but just 3 between 2 people... the butternut squash soup was lovely and the wait staff were so friendly and helpful. Just the worst Xmas Dinner we've ever had.

Fantastic meal during a visit for the first time in years. However your reputation precedes you and you didn't disappoint. Chicken pasanda and mushroom rice. Beautiful! Thoroughly recommended.

Would love be to make it 4 or 5 stars as the food was very good but the 2 hour wait to get our main dish spoiled the whole evening. Table of 4 booked for 7:30 , arrived slightly early to he told we would be seated shortly, 40 minutes later we got seated. Ordered starter and main dishes, starter arrived quite quickly, which gave us hope that this bears well for the mains. However, after half an hour nothing and after asking how long we were told shortly, after another 10 minutes still nothing in the point of giving up our meals arrived. So to recap arrived 7:20 main meal served 9:20, good food but need to sort out timings, staff OK but management need to be upfront and advise customers that there will be a long wait for food, then the customer can decide whether to stay or go.

What an amazing atmosphere there is in this lovely establishment! The staff are very attentive and more than happy to help! Food was absolutely how it reads on the menu! Authentic, fresh and delicious... full of vibrant colours and flavour! 5⭐ from our family. Thank you for making our family birthday celebration so memorable!

We actually had to get our food boxed up and leave because we had a very long wait, arrived at 5.30 food still not with us at 6.45 and our 1 year old was getting fed up ....BUT it was during the Eat Out To Help Out scheme and you could see how busy they were. After months of being closed to sit in diners I think the wait is kind of acceptable because businesses need to catch up financially and the staff were very kind and understanding. And the food was amazing. The curry was packed full of flavour and the portion sizes were great. Would definitely recommend because I really think the wait was teething problems with reopening under such busy circumstances . I mentioned the wait because of how professionally the staff handled our situation. The food was worth the wait!

This was once a old fashioned establishment run down and tired but with change of ownership a couple of years ago it certainly has been revivedIt's decore has been renewed so it's warm and vibrant and the garden has been transformed into a beautiful place to relax in the warm summer sunWhen we visited we did so to try out the new food. The advertising said it was now the curry lounge ,gone are the days of traditional food fareHere was a wonderful place to have a fantastic Indian meal cooked by authentic Indian chef at a reasonable priceWe ordered tikka masala and we weren't disappointed the tikka came in a bowl full we ordered pilou rice to go with it and garlic naan and OMG was the Mann to die for the best I've ever had mmm so folks if you're in Carnoustie please try it for your self
