Went for a day out in Arbroath today 10/3/22.Seen this Restaurant and decided to give it a try. Was not disappointed in yhe least. I had the Oysters to start with and they were absolutely beautiful. My wife had the King Prawns and again Perfect. For our main I had Declaration of Arbroth Fish Pie. Again absolutely fantastic. Full of Fish and Seafood with a wonderful flavour. My wife had the Seafood Linguine which was to die for. Staff were absolutely fantastic and friendly. Next time we are back in Arbroath ot is top of our list. Well done to all at Restaurant 💯😁✅

Food was lovely, they do a real basic menu for kids as well as real posh nosh for adults , they even made a dish up for a very fussy teenager. Pace is beautiful and the atmosphere good. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Celebrated a 40th and it did feel special. Can be a bit pricey if you want but also have affordable dishes, it was worth it. I've been for coffee and cake before and really enjoyed it. Huge success.

Had a great lunch here, wanted to eat Arbroath smokies and managed to do this for both starter and main which were fantastic. Other choices are available! Two different types of chips on offer, the "chippy chips" were excellent and tasted totally as they should.Really friendly staff, good location. We'd booked which was probably for the best as even though it was a Saturday in early October it was busy during the whole of our visit.

We went with family who were staying in Scotland on holiday. Everyone enjoyed it and said they would def go again. We only booked that day and were glad we did. Approx £40 each and it was worth it

Lovely evening at the Old Boatyard. I booked this a couple of weeks ago as part of a wedding anniversary trip and requested a window seat (as a previous reviewer had recommended). Found ourselves sat in a perfect window location. So great start to the night.Food was excellent. We’ll presented. Starters fairly minimal but super tasty. Mains were very generous. Menu describes where they get all their meat, fish and produce from (locally of course) which is a nice touch. Dessert ice-cream comes homemade from the shop across the road.Staff friendly and helpful and the setting is lovely - especially over by the windows. Two of us eating. Ordered starters, mains (my wife had Mussels and I had a Sirloin steak), and dessert with each a glass of wine and tea to finish. Came to £90 which for what we got I think is very reasonable.

This restaurant on the harbour is a great place to visit. The food was delicious, although quite pricey. The only downside was that is was very noisy. There are no soft furnishings to absorb sound and conversation was difficult because of the echoing of the chat of other tables. It was full when we visited so that made the noise level worse. Otherwise, great food and atmosphere.

Really nice meal at The Old Boatyard Restaurant last night. The food was delicious. Smoked salmon starter had a really good portion of salm3, the belly pork and scallops were delicious too.I had halibut for main which was so good! The other main was Declaration pie, which my Mum described as nice but something she could have made. Puddings were good too, however.... Real whipped cream would be much better than squitry cream :-)The stand out thing of the evening was the service. Wonderful friendly staff, attentive without being intrusive.Well worth a visit.
