Glenesk Folk Museum is a museum located in the Glen Esk valley, in Tarfside, Angus, Scotland, which is run by members of the local community. It is about 9 miles north of the village of Edzell. It is housed in a former shooting lodge, known as 'The Retreat', which used to belong to the earls of Dalhousie.

Just been in for a quick coffee with daughter and granddaughter. Excellent service ,My caramel latte was lovely and biscotti biscuits well my fav x anyway daughters apple and cinnamon scone was delicious had to pinch a bit , prices not too bad, will be back

Had a gorgeous meal here for mother's day. Great service, lovely surroundings and amazing food. Lovely to have something special, real attention to detail on the food. Lots of locally sourced ingredients and home baked cakes and bread etc. Great value for a brilliant three courses and prosecco. Looking forward to returning!

We were lucky to get a table on the second day of opening and it certainly did not disappoint. The staff were so helpful the food delicious and the prices very fair. Thank you Rae's for coming to Montrose.

Prices are very expensive here £4.50 for a scone and jam which I thought was a bit much. Lovely surroundings but I think the customers are paying for that with there prices lol won't go back

Really great food, very well presented, great taste combinations. So good to have a place of this quality in Montrose.
