·

Nice old style bakery and tearoom. Lovely friendly staff.

I was in this morning to buy some bridies.I was charged £20.20p for 6 bridies, and they don’t take card payments. That gives me cause for concern in itself .I phoned and queried the prices, and I’d been overcharged by £2..Thag didn’t bother me as much as the actual prices:£4.20 for a steak and onion bridie.?£2.95 for a large shortcrust .??£1.95 for a standard shortcrust.?You’re having a laugh mate. Train yer staff.. Get a card machine. Buy a RollsRoyce with yer rip off prices.!! lol

Went here for a Forfar Bridie, we got the puff pastry one, a big bit of beef to eat. Nice cosy eat in tearoom, service was good and the Bridies delivered promptly with tea and coffee. Lots of good Scottish cafe options here. The cakes looked good too.

This cafe/bakery really gives me 1920's vibes, and I love that. Its a unique atmosphere.Lovely meals and many home bakes. One thing put me off going back was when I was in the mood for soup and there was none left so asked for a scone instead and they had none of those either which was a bit surprising since they are a bakery! Can't fault the waitress, friendly and polite.

The large bowl of vegetable soup was excellent, thick enough to nearly stand your spoon in. A scone and superb raspberry jam and the scone nicely warmed. Only reason not for scoring 5 was the fairly weak and milky coffee. Staff were very pleasant and attentative. Recommend a visit and make you have something with the jam😁

Went there today with my husband for a big breakfast, nothing big about it, we both had ,burst egg ,plate full off grease, one links sausage, 2 x bacon 1 x black pudding £5.95 joke, charged extra for the toast, the white coffee was like a hot cup of milk no taste of coffee, all in all cost us almost £16The place was freezing, a calor gas heater with 2 bars burning, but every time the shop door opened there was a huge draft , very disappointed and felt ripped off.Would like to get a reply to my comment from the owner thank you

Very friendly atmosphere, either sit in or take away. Lots of treats to try and great service. Until recently only accepted cash but now do card payment also. Home made bakery fare, excellent.

Service was excellent. The waitresses were very happy ladies who are delighted to be part of your day. Food quite good. Lost a star for cleanliness. Thinks like the menus very dirty.
