Wokee Carry Out in Angus

I've just had a delivery from Wokee in Forfar. Only because my usual Chinese in Kirriemuir has stopped delivering. The food from Wokee arrived within the 55 minutes and was still fairly hot. But I'd ordered a Kung Po King Prawn and the sauce was a very odd colour and consistency with lots of stringy soggy veg through it. Definitely didn't taste like a Kung Po. The chips were extremely dry. The rice was ok. The spring rolls tasted of perfume. Most of it went in the bin. It's safe to say I won't be ordering from there again.

Very very nice food best for fofar

Really disappointed, small portion sizes and lukewarm despite quick delivery. Ordered duck, a Thai chicken dish (described as hot but just very creamy and very sweet) and sweet and sour chicken and an extra £5 for 8 (very small) wontons which were completely inedible, basically a waste of money. Will stick to the royal kitchen from now on, normally have leftovers from there for a lot less money.

I think this has to be the best Chinese takeaway I've had since moving here. Reasonable prices too. Lovely staff too.

Never had a problem in 4 yrs food has always been great until tonight I ordered chicken noodle soup there was so much salt in chicken stock it was impossible to eat it, next chicken chop suey usually delicious , not tonight again salt overload , please taste before you send out orders , there is no need to put so much salt in food , when your food is usually very good .

Food promised at 19:45. Had to phone at 20:00 asking where it was. Told it would be 10-15 minutes. I phoned again at 20:30 when it still hadn't arrived. When it did finally arrive it was lukewarm, clearly having been cooked some time earlier. Either stick to the allotted time or just let people know what time you will turn up. Appalling service. Won't ever be back

I ordered food at 17:55 to be delivered just a 5 minute walk away. I opted to use there delivery service as I was unable to leave my post at work. I was assured that my food might take 45 minutes but not longer than 1 hour. After an hour and 5 minutes I phoned to see if my food will still be on its way and was advised my food is on its way now. 15 minutes later my food arrived (bearing in mind I was only ever a 5 minute walk away). Needless to say this is unacceptable and in no way good enough especially after being assured I would not be waiting longer than a specified time which they gave.I have no idea what their food tastes like as I did not accept it. I ordered Chinese food not a Guinness.

This was a surprise takeaway organised by my husband as a late birthday treat. Ordered to arrive at 7.15. Actually arrived at 7.50 after we chased it up. Food was cold. Husband couldn't even cut his at it was crisped to death. Really disappointed with this and we wont use the Wo Kee again.

Normally order from here as there was no minimum order amount for delivery. Sorry but won't be ordering from here again, I am a single person I used to order under £10, (occasionally more if I had family/friends over) but now you have set a minimum of order £10 before you deliver. Which is a shame as food was really good.

Was looking for something different from wokee tonight and im so glad i tried their 'munchy box' perfect size for one. Food was hot. Not too salty. And delivered before stated time. Never a bad experience from this place. Been ordering from wokee (remember before the refurb??) for well over 10 years and wouldn't even consider going else where.
