Small friendly restaurant, lovely food and very pleasant staff

Slow waitress service, but may have been her first shift. A great menu with lots of variety. Small and snug. Would recommend.

Read the reviews for this little gem of a place and we were not disappointed. The staff and food was amazing, the bistro had just changed to the winter menu and it was delicious, the best scallops I've had in a long time followed by delicious grilled seabass and the best dauphinoise potatoes ever! Hubby had the belly pork and lamb kleftico on buttery mash, we finished off with the bailey's cheesecake, cheese board and port, fantastic atmosphere, small and friendly and one to put on your list, just brilliant 😍 make sure you book in advance it is quickly booked up!

We had a booking for 28 people on our motorbike trip.Staff were great and friendly.Food was delicious.Had a great time.We will Be bck next year.

Visited for dinner as a party of 13. Delicious food, lovely staff that were friendly and attentive. A great evening.

The food was amazing. We ate the langoustines to start and then had the seafood linguine and fish and chips for mains. The langoustines were cooked perfectly and the sauce was delicious. The fish and chips might be the best I have ever had and the linguine was similarly perfect! It was no surprise to see that there were no tables available for the evening. Book in advance!

This is a fantastic little place. The food is amazing, as is the chef and staff. Top marks from me. Next time I am back in Tarbert, I'll be visiting The Anchorage Bistro again.

I honestly wasn't expecting much since Tarbert is not exactly the centre of the universe, but this is an excellent little restaurant. The soup was truly wonderful, with fresh toasted bread. My main meal was Gressingham duck. Again, it was really very good. The meal contained a really nice selection of flavours and textures together with a very tasty jus. Some little places can be a bit pretentious, with prices to match, but this was not an expensive meal.All in all, you can be assured of having an excellent meal here. I highly recommend it.
