Great place to stay, bar meals available in a fantastic setting, saw a red squirrel in the grounds and a sea eagle not too far away. Great part of Scotland.

Sally and Jim have a wonderful place! Spent 5 nights staying in the 8 bedded apartments. Clean and spacious rooms, with great self catering facilities.Extremely dog friendly, with plenty excersise areas.Food and drinks can be purchased on the premises.A great place to stay, to explore the surrounding areas and further afield.Looking forward to a return visit. The stables are as above which sleeps 4.

The staff seemed reasonably courteous in the two minutes we were here. The 'dogs welcome' policy extends only to the cramped bar. If you're sharing that cramped bar with one other person, slugging his nth whiskey while staring at you in frosty silence, failing to return your 'good evening', cranking the volume up on the TV, once it registered in his quite possibly wet brain, that we intended to stay for a meal, in HIS bar, then it doesn't make for the greatest of experiences. The two of us hate confrontation and we are very quiet and respectful. Our dog's immaculate manners reflect this too.. Notwithstanding, we left. Immediately. So, 'friendly locals in this bar' seems like a bit of an inaccurate claim. What a shame; if only the sop had stayed at home to be anti-social, rather than sharing the misery with unsuspecting would-be diners. The establishment would have had plenty of our money and nobody would have peed on our roses. We hasten to add that this experience is not typical of the area. We had a great experience everywhere else we went, in and around Loch Awe, Loch Fyne, Lochgilphead, Oban and Kerrera

Had a wonderful stay with a large group. Sally was very good to us and the food in the pub was delicious. We had fantastic weather and were able to swim in the lake - make sure to pack insect repellent!

Had the best Hogmanay party for years at this place. Would recommend to larger walking groups. Sally and her husband were so welcoming and friendly, thank you for having us!x

We absolutely loved the place, the accommodation, the setting and the friendly people.Sally the lady who runs the place is such an amiable person and was very happy to show us around the place. The house in itself is very beautiful with its rich history.Do try the Loch awe boats which is hardly a 10 mins walk from the house Janet and Cliff(the couple who run the place) are so friendly and helpful. Also I have to mention the restaurant that is just in the ground floor of Ardbrecknish House which opens at 6 pm and they serve wonderfully delicious food by the fire.I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking to spend their holiday peacefully in a family friendly setting.

This place was so beautiful and tranquil, it has a stunning location with lots of scenic views and things to do; on site or locally. Sally was very accommodating and welcoming. I've not been aboard once and don't think I really need to for a holiday after finding this place :)Thank you for an amazing stay in your west wing from the 20/07-27/07/13.Warm Regards,Paul A
