Only spent one night there. The staff in the morning at the breakfast buffet who brought us our ordered breakfast was super friendly, chatty and just loveable. The room was tidy, super clean and quiet. The bar has a decent amount of beverages so everyone will find something!

Ate here one evening in Katie's Bar because it was dog friendly. Atmosphere was good. Bar well stocked including locally made beer on draft. Bar menu selection I thought was a bit limited but the food was good. It turns out that we could have had the menu from the restaurant but it wasn't offered to us.

Dog friendly. Can’t fault the quality of the food or service.Could do with a slightly more extensive menu, very rarely have I visited somewhere and not fancied anything on the menu.Went for the lamb, £20.95, was great but very expensive for what you get.Great beers available and a good atmosphere though.

Excellent service and well organised hotel are the key of this hotel. It is professionally managed by Irene and Andrew. All rooms are nice and tidy. The restaurant and bar are good for breakfast, lunch and dinner. They cook nice sea bass and salmon. I strongly recommend you come and stay here for your next trip. So nice to have a stay at Room 8 for this visit. They have small whisky bar for you to enjoy after dinner.

We were touring the isle and had reservations for dinner. We were the first to be seated in the dining room and were quickly taken care of by Melissa. She recommended the house Merlot (which went well with out dinners) and told us of the daily specials. I had the soup of the day (served creamy and hot) and the venison special, tender and prepared perfectly. A great place for a special meal while traveling the Isle of Islay.

We stopped by here because it looked like a lovely place to stop for a bite to eat. It was early and dinner would not be served for an hour or so, so we decided to wait and have a beer. We ended up leaving because we could have not felt more unwelcome. The (blonde with glasses and acne) bartender was rude very unwelcoming. We have been in Scotland for a month and this was our first bad experience.... sad.

Nice food but not enough veg. They have us a bowl between 3 of us which was just about right for one person. Very expensive for s Sunday roast £16.99 each and puddings £5.95. Also not given the Yorkshire pudding which it said came with it. We were hungry again 2 hours later.

Wonderful experience! Food excellent, service could not be faulted, we had one dish that was not as it should be, even with this I give 5 stars, complaint handled with such professionalism, we are trying to work out when to return with only two days left! A must! The mussels and tagliatelle were super and the sticky toffee utterly supreme!

Great find in respect of Warmth of welcome. Staff are brilliant and the food in Katie's was lovely. Welcomed our well behaved dog in. It is like a large cafe, but suited our needs. The lounge area and dining room looked nice too, but we were happy to stay where we were. Also they have a real fire and comfy chairs in their lounge for those staying over.

The room was clean, spacious and well appointed. The food was delicious. The bar/lounge area has nice atmosphere...a really cozy place to relax before dinner. The staff couldn't be nicer. They had great suggestions for walks/hikes that were spot on. I had a small crisis with a missing rental car key and coat. The Bridgend staff helped me sort it out...helping book alternate travel and mailing me my recovered coat and belongings. They were just so gracious. What a delightful place!
