Very good sea food, lovely views, hit and miss service. Two of us had the sea food platters which were fresh and very good. Lobster and velvet crab weren't available so the dish was made up with what was available. Had to ask for drinks after waiting for a while. Tobermory gin was on the menu but wasn't available even though you can buy it two minutes down the road. Pleasant atmosphere spoilt by the foul mouthed man wearing a Cafe Fish top who marched in without a mask ( still required at the time) sat down with his mates and lowered the tone. Not impressed considering our bill was close to £200 for three. Noticed other customers were also annoyed.

Exceptional, one of the nicest meals I've had in a long time and great service

Lovely meal in a beautiful setting (and I don’t even like fish that much!)Restaurant was very clean, and we had a nice welcome and were given the choice of an inside table or sitting outside. All the tables have a view of the water. The food was tasty, served efficiently and with a good choice of dishes. (The drinks menu was slightly more limited and they don’t offer shandy if you prefer it to beer.)The portions were a good size (so no room for pudding which was bit of a disaster!)Nice place to eat — but you need to book ahead.

So pleased we managed to book a table. Four wet and hungry tandemers arrived the first night of reopening after the long pause. What a friendly and accommodating team. Kit put to dry we sat down to one of the most difficult decisions when eating out. I for one wanted to try everything on the two part menu. Amazing selection of seafood dishes on the laminated version and sheer delight on the chalk board. Langoustine that melt in the mouth followed by sea bream simple and delicious. Heaven. Rounded off with waffles for dessert, to power the ride up to the camp site🙂. The team were great. Our era playlist, good craic, and no rush to get us out despite our loud good humour. We will be back.

Absolutely amazing service and food. Freshest of local produce. Book ahead to avoid missing out.

Food taste and choice of shellfish was great. Price for whole lobster also very good. Service was ok but not particularly hospitable. Maybe we got there on a bad day. Menu says crab claws so £9 for a single claw with a nice salad seems a bit steep , large though it was.

Cafe fish never fails to impress. The roast shellfish platter is incredible and is without a doubt the best thing I've ever eaten. There is a fantastic mix of fresh shellfish including oysters, scallops, langoustines, squat lobster, crab claws and lobster and it's smothered in garlic and herb butter with a few slices of home made bread on the side. Words can't do it justice but maybe the pics below will be a good indication. The Tom yum soup main and crab claws starter were also excellent and the service was also really good. It's a bit pricey but you're getting some of the best quality fish and shellfish in the world in my opinion so it's worth the money.

My wife and I came here for dinner and found the food to be outstanding. I especially like the tomato chutney and was fortunate when they shared the recipe with me. The fish was VERY fresh and the views fantastic. We had a very friendly and efficient staff and they were knowledgeable on what to recommend and their suggestions were spot on.

Fresh fish simply cooked and eaten on the terrace. Great range of fish dishes; we had halibut and turbot but could happily have chosen the scallops, the salmon or the lobster. Service was friendly and efficient and we ate outside on 27 March 2017 with the sun blazing and beautiful views.
