Coylet Inn in Argyll & Bute

4 of us had a meal. Mine was a bit disappointing in that the bread roll with the soup wasn't fresh, and the veg with the Steak Pie was so Al Dente it did question how long (or rather shortly) it had been cooked. All brought to the attention of the waiting staff, who acknowledged my comment.The other 3 meals were good bar the one with a vegetable portion - same issue.Will go again in due course to re assess the establishment.

By far the best food and hospitality in Scotland. Our waitress Lynn was so helpful, friendly and helped us choose our meals. The bar staff couldn't do enough for you and the atmosphere was warm and cosy. Absolutely loved the place and will definitely revisit.

Hands down the best restaurant in the area. Amazing location, beautiful décor, outstanding food and service. The venison that we ordered was perfectly cooked, one of the best ones I ever had, and the portion sizes were ideal. The service was excellent. Honestly, there is probably not a single “could be better” point. Highly recommend, and we will be back soon too :)

Hearty pub dinner on a cold and quiet February evening. Great service from Carl who made sure we had everything we needed including a table but the fire!

Stopped for lunch aftera long drive. Offered a table immediately, very friendly and helpful staff I had the stacked burger. Lovely homemade burger presented beautifully with home made onion rings salad and chips. Very tasty and well priced for what we got. My wife had the stacked chicken burger and also said it was delicious. So nice to sit beside an open fire burning logs. Would highly recommend if you're passing. We will definitely be back. Five stars from me.

Really lovely and welcoming Inn, was very accomodating to my family! The interior is cosy and beautiful, especially with the real fire, the lights and the gorgeous view from the dinning room. We stopped by for lunch and had an excellent meal. The lady who served us was so kind and warm, she helped us with everything we needed. Even small little things like candles in the bathroom felt like a lot of effort and thought has been put into this lovely Inn. Definitely worth visiting

Very disappointed really went there for lunch for my birthday, our table wasn't ready as they had a coach party in. The welcome wasn't warm as it says on the signs, the whole place smelt heavily of coal. The vast menu we saw on the website was not available we were told they were using up old stock because they had a new chef starting the following day so there was only a choice of around 6 mains we could eat, so we had the haddock & chips which was OK the batter on the fish was mostly soft, we declined desserts & coffee went to a local diner for those.

Absolutely lovely our stay here. Very comfortable and snug. The food was fantastic, and the staff were great.The only small negative was that there was no phone signal, Internet/wifi, or TV reception. However, why visit such a beautiful place to sit on your phone or watch TV!?
