Was here for a lunch time tasting menu over eight courses. Staff very attentive and friendly. Food was all high quality and filling. Tried some wine alongside the dishes and all rated highly.Free parking is available nearby and there is plenty to do around the area if you do desire.Price wise it is on the higher side but you are paying for the quality. Highly recommended.

The taster menu was interesting, as it should be, and the presentation was the same. There was too much raw fish and raw meat for me, but some people do like that. However, the menu does change, and this might not stop me from going back. What will stop me from ever going back is the price of "a glass of wine".Neither the wine list, nor the blackboard of wine offers, tells you the size of "a glass of wine"". Well I can reveal that it's 125ml. That, for many people, is a "half glass of wine". There was no option for a 175ml, or 250ml. glass. My wife and I had to order a "double" to get a 250ml. glass. That made my wife's glass £20. I picked the cheapest on the menu, and after two glasses each, i.e. 500ml. each, the wine bill was £71.There is a wide choice of restaurants in this area, some excellent, so why would you go to The Gannet?

What a great experience! Attentive, professional service. We did the 6-course tasting menu and the food was awesome with matching wine. Great substitutions for my shellfish-allergic missus. We'll be back.

Loved it, the food, the drinks and the atmosphere were all splendid. We got the 6 course menu which was 11 plates in the end. Left stuffed and fed with quality food

Fantastic evening at The Gannet for our anniversary. From the get go we were warmly welcomed and looked after. Each course was incredible with high quality ingredients and attention to detail in the presentation and cooking. Seasoning spot on. We had such a great evening and we were gutted once it ended.Thank you to Kevin, Connor and team for providing us with a great night and memory. They even gave us a personalised handwritten card to celebrate our anniversary which just goes to show the level of service you will receive here. Unbeatable. Can't recommend the place enough. Can't wait to come back! Thanks again. Stephen

Fine dining in pleasant atmosphere. The Food was excellent as were the wine pairings. Interesting choices made by the sommelier. White Rioja for example.Accommodating a pescatarian wasn’t a problem (mentioned when placing reservations) and no compromise in quality of the dishes. As others mentioned the bar makes excellent cocktails, well worth a try (or 2….) I found our waitress described the course & wine very well and to the point, enough depth to be interesting, but no epic „when our cook walked the shores of Scotland as a young man……..“Pacing was good, the dishes and wine came out at a good pace, not rushed but also not too long between courses.A small rant about the mandatory 10% Service charge, is this really necessary? If the prices need to be 10% higher in order to pay the servers this should be included in the price. The rent for the restaurant, cost for gas, electricity and so on are also not listed separately. On the subject of cost, prices are on the picture of the menu below (don’t forget the service charge) and certainly in line with what other similar places charge. I felt the experience was worth it to me, would come again.

Fantastic. The food was fresh, locally sourced and elegantly subtle. Initially i found myself thinking things were a little underseasoned, but it made me concentrate and appreciate the subtlety of the flavours. We had the six course tasting menu. Each course was light and delicious. Fabulously cooked monkfish and venison and the beef tongue sandwich was a revelation (deelish). Your gluten free bread was so yummy, what a treat. Each course was a delight and that chocolate nib crumb..... Your cheapest wine was excellent so thank you for that too! I must put a shout out to the star behind the bar! A real talent, had I known how good he was, i would have worked my way through the cocktail menu and not had any wine. There was a subtlety to the mixing; never too sweet and those herby, spicy, aromatics were beautifully showcased. After a most stressful day, we ended it with happy and contented smiles on our faces thanks to a delightful culinary evening at The Gannet. It's quite confusing why The Gannet doesn't have a Michelin star because the service, the food and the drinks are all excellent. Gets you wondering if Michelin is all it's cracked up to be....??Make a conscious detour to eat at The Gannet and you will be eating at one of the best restaurants in Scotland, experiencing some of the best local produce the country has to offer.

We had the tasting menu, with accompanying wines, amazing!! Really delicious food, and beautifully presented, would definitely go back when next in Glasgow.

Wonderful #tastingmenu @thegannetgla in #finneston last night. The 6 course tasting menu included snacks and a pre-dessert and an optional cheese course (with is not really optional for me) 😏Dishes were beautifully plated, creative and delicious. EVERY SINGLE COURSE had something interesting or exciting that captures your full attention be it an unexpected twist or just technically brilliant cooking.Service was impeccable. Friendly, professional and informative. They make you feel welcome, understand the dishes very well and seem genuinely passionate about what they are serving (be it food or drinks). What a fantastic experience.

Excellent menu, especially enjoyed the beef and eel course. Staff were very attentive and talked through each course answering any questions. Would definitely come back when the menu changes in a few weeks
