We went here for the first meal of our holiday, and I'd drive the 3 hour journey from Edinburgh just to have this fish supper again. The best fish supper I've ever had.

Honestly the best chippie I've ever had, really good value! really cheery workers. Would definitely recommend as your local chippie!! And as far as I know the chips are cooked in beef dripping and the other chippies chips are cooked in rapeseed oil which ain't very good for ya 😬

It was an absolute bliss ! We have an amazing moment : cosy atmosphere, warm service and the fish is delicious. I highly recommend.

The fish and chips were delicious and we enjoyed it. However the soup was very overpriced and was not worth the £8 that I paid. The service was good.

Got Scampi Supper and homemade tartare sauce. Excellent customer service and meal was delicious. The chips were nice and not greasy. Wife's Cod was lovely too

Ate here twice in six days and it was absolutely superb on both occasions. The starter of langoustine salad was quite unbelievable for just £7.95 and the lemon sole and chips was to die for. Excellent quality and value.

I ate in the restaurant. The fish and beer was good. Loved potato chips too. Staff was really kind.

I sat in to eat. Excellent fish supper ("from next door") followed by a remarkable creme brulee which was more mousse than custard but delicious. Nice beer and friendly efficient service.

Given some of the reviews I read before going here, I must say I was underwhelmed. The fish was well cooked, but the potatoes were underseasoned and the mushy peas were definitely from a can.

Sadly, my wife and I just had a fish & chips take away to sit overlooking the harbour in Oban and it was awful. We ate it, as we were so hungry and been looking forward to this since our last visit in September last year. The fish was undercooked so the batter was soggy and inedible, it was made to order and obviously rushed so the fat etc was still dripping into the tray. It's really not difficult to make fish & chips.... Batter, fry, serve, how can you make it so bad?
