Golden Sea in Argyll & Bute

Food was amazing and the front of house girl was excellent, super friendly and helpful!! Dine in was empty, just us. Take away and delivery was absolutely bouncing. Highly recommended

visited for take away Tues 15 Feb 22. Lovely welcome good communication. One of the best chicken satay I've ever had. Sweet and spicy veg cooked perfectly still crunchy. Fried rice was good. Chicken and green peppers black bean was intensely awesome. Sweet and sour chicken balls Hong Kong style fantastic, prawn toast plentiful. Five star . Recommended.

Great food but far too expensive - wouldn't even pay this in a city for food

Do not eat here, place is a mess. Hasn't anybody noticed there's a BUG in the photo of their menu!!

We popped in for a takeaway, ordered our food to be told a higher price than what it said on the menu. When queried she said that they were the old menus and the new menus weren't there yet! The woman on the counter was very rude and we decided not to order. After reading other reviews I'm rather glad we didn't eat any of the food. 1* is too many. Place and staff are shockingly bad

Went here for a takeaway while visiting Dunoon. I looked at the menu and ordered my food, seemed a bit pricey from what I usually pay. Checked the menu again and I was charged £4 more than the menu price. I asked the lady why I was charged more, she said this is an old menu and prices are increased. The menus on the counter were very new and not old menus as stated by staff. Bumped for £4, thanks. Food was barely edible, lumpy curry sauce and tepid fried rice. Disgraceful

Place was quite nice apart from the mess on table but there was lovely music playing through out our meal a song called al Loma de la Cruz by the lattin brothers then after Linda’s y belly’s 2 lovely songs played I felt soo relaxed when eating my curry sauce and rice the music made me feel I was on holiday I enjoyed it playing and there was another lovely song called Spanish Grease by Willie Bobo it had a great tune to it and Jacky was very friendly and has a great sense of humour great to have a laugh with he was always laughing and joking and the young girl wife or sister with him too was nice were dressed very smart although the Chinese girl had a short black skirt and black shoes with bare feet because her skirt flounced about when serving people it needed to be long when people are eating the music was lovely and Dunoon is lovely it’s funny there’s an argyle street and queen street here.

Food amazing, inside decor nice and clean,old chinese woman not very talkative and looks grumpy she isn't. The meal wee had was fantastic the large bottles of chinese beer was reasonably priced the soups were big and full of flavor, the main was huge I am 20stone could not finish the set meal had a cup of tea instead of a pineapple fritter. I will be back.

Called to ask if they had any tables as everywhere else in Dunoon was fully booked. They had tables and now I can see why. Half eaten food still on plates on the middle table, no lights on when we arrived, bits of rice on our table and the wall next to us and feet were sticking to the floor.. To top it all off there was a used lateral flow covid test on our table. Place was just generally dirty. Would not advise or recommend this place to anyone!! If I could give no stars I would. Girl serving was nice enough.

AVOID!!!!I ordered from here recently. Everything I ordered I had to bin, they sent us chicken fried rice that had an awful fishy smell off it so I sent it back for it to be replaced with plain boiled chicken on top of boiled rice…. Hardly chicken FRIED rice. Also ordered salt and spicy chips and they were over done and hard so also went in the bin. Girl on the phone was helpful but the owners couldn’t care less about the state of the food leaving their kitchens. I gave this place a few tries and that will be my last. Please AVOID!!!
