Absolutely lovely folk working there. Stayed for one night and made to feel so welcome...will definitely be using the place again. We had dinner which was very good, dining room gal was rushed off her feet but very happy and nothing was a bother. Slept like a log in a lovely room with a view...thanks

I ate here 3 nights running and had different dishes every night and was never disappointed, not even slightly. The dishes are not exotic or rare, but they are done with interesting and successful twists. The portions are a good size, and prices are reasonable. What really stands out is the cheerful friendliness of the staff. They are attentive and genuinely interested in giving excellent service, which they deliver efficiently - "in spades." I was not just an unusually lucky customer; everyone, as far as I could observe, was treated to the same excellent standard. I would return to eat here, just for the friendly service even if the food were mediocre, but the food isn't mediocre, it is very good. I certainly hope to eat at the Grey Gull on many future occasions.

Had no problem with the grey gull Inn, phoned up and booked straight with them for 1 night on outward leg of holiday and 1 night on return, only thing was 1st night we wanted twin room, and was given room with double bed, not nice when sharing with mother, was booked into same room coming back but emailed them and they change it to family room on ground floor, with no problems 😊.The bistro restaurant was attached to hotel good choice of food, the same with breakfast. Staff very friendly both at reception and restaurant, they also allow dogs to stay in rooms with you, which is great. Photos taken along road from the Inn

The building is tired, but staff are amazing! So friendly & helpful, and they're trying to keep the place looking presentable. Portions in restaurant are plentiful!

The one star is for the nice staff. I booked for two nights but could not stay. The hotel is dirty with little staff to run it. I had to wait hours for my room to be cleaned,if you could call it that . I left never to return.

Restaurant is good, hotel is dated with bad all round service. Would recommend staying somewhere cheaper if you don’t book a deluxe room.We stayed for a wedding for 1 night since it looked lovely online, but it is much more shabby in person and the hotelService we experienced wasn’t good at all. Our deluxe family room with a car park view was nice enough (despite booking a deluxe king with loch view), but we had to phone up twice to amend the booking because the receptionist couldn’t see it the booking the first time and told us we must have booked on booking.com so we had to go through them, until we told her we have a confirmation email. We were also told by a different receptionist that she would “make sure it’s okay” for us to use the room at 12 noon on arrival just so we could get changed to catch a bus at 10 to 1 to the wedding, but we had to wait until 12:25 when we arrived at 12 to get into the room because the cleaner hadn’t started until we arrived. All of the people we spoke to at the wedding that also stayed here (at least 20) all had bad experiences, saying that their non deluxe rooms were run down, shabby, dated and the beds were extremely uncomfortable. Those that did have a loch view had the tiniest window in their room. The only positive is the restaurant. It is modern, stylish and cosy, and the staff were brilliant at breakfast. The food was good and price was fair, and the service was quick and friendly.

I had lunch here 19/06/21 and it was an absolutely amazing experience. The staff were so friendly and helpful, the view was amazing and everything was extremely clean. My food was fantastic, I had a delicious portion of haddock and chips which was just amazing and then ended up having an afternoon tea too- the best scone I've ever eaten , I highly recommend. 💖
