Harbour Inn in Argyll & Bute

Rooms were of a high standard and location is right in the centre of Bowmore. The meals at night were really good and the fish dishes were excellent. The service I received by the people here was second to none, they went out of their way to make sure we had a great time.

Fantastic restaurant. Really easy to reserve a table online and a fantastic view from the restaurant over the bay. We had a great selection of whisky to choose from, with a detailed guidebook explaining each option. We really enjoyed sipping various whiskeys and comparing notes whilst waiting for lunch - a throughly good past-time! Lunch was excellent too, as was the customer service.

Excellent food and service, we went on the last evening of our holiday for a celebratory meal and we were glad we did. We will definitely dine here again next time we visit Islay.

Arrived for a meal after a day of cycling. Absolutely fantastic, full credit to the chef(s) and waiting staff. Really lovely feel and friendly atmosphere. I don't often leave reviews, but just felt I had to in this case!

Fab Hotel, the location is beautiful, we wish we stayed longer!Room was clean, comfy bed, lovely little toiletries.Excellent service, staff are friendly and so welcoming.The food was amazing, only down side was there was only one vegetarian option at dinner. Great selection for breakfast. We would love to go back and stay again one day.

Had a lovely evening meal here, complete with a glorious view of the sea loch and fresh oysters with Bowmore Whisky (Oyster Luge) and tasting seafood entrees. The service was very friendly, and they are just starting up again after a long downtime due to the pandemic. Excellent place to eat in Bowmore if looking an classy but unpretentious venue.

We visited as part of a weekend on Islay and this was our first dinner and what a wonderful evening. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, with beautifully cooked local food, with Oysters and scallops, along with other amazing food. The setting with the view over the harbour and across to Port Charlotte. More photos to come

Superb service! Great whisky (had the Bowmore tasting menu) and exceptional Islay oysters! We had venison, scallops (excellent!) and Mac and cheese (best ever!). Everything was tasty. Well worth the visit

Super experience, great staff, nice rooms and fine food. Breakfast pancakes and deep fried halloumi starter were particular favourites. Location perfect for doing all the things you need to do on Islay, mostly visiting the great distilleries! Would have been good if their bar had been open but maybe next time.

We were able to make a dinner reservation in person after we had unsuccessfully struggled with the online booking system. We ordered of the specials and the main dinner menu and both were excellent. The covid rules were clearly outlined and everything was clean and promptly cleaned when guests were leaving.
