Islay Frigate Hotel in Argyll & Bute

Room was freezing and had to go to toilet across the landing, not pleasant at all

Arrived ready for a evening meal only to be told they weren't serving, this meant we had to source a meal else where!Breakfast was only just fair, portion size small, coffee strength weak.Room was clean enough, TV good selection, ensuite very small.Taking all into consideration I think the asking price was way too high, £100/95 with discount.

Lovely pint in the beer garden. Good friendly welcome and fully following covid rules.

Great pub lovely owner and great staff. Through this difficult time doing their very best to look after the customers. Great pint friendly locals what a pub should be

We visited Islay Frigate Hotel yesterday for a family meal. We had lovely food, the staff were so friendly, it was a very clean environment and extremely safe, with appropriate systems in place, which were being adhered to. I would thoroughly recommend a meal at this restaurant.

Always a great meal, we always stop here for lunch whenever we are heading down Kintyre, the food and service is always great, especially the fish and chips and the macaroni

Can't praise this establishment enough. The staff here are great, the food is awesome, it has a great atmosphere, bar and restaurant. My company will always use this hotel when were in that area from now on. Thanks for the hospitality :-)

20 Aug 2019: We sat in bar for early lunch on recent visit to Tarbert. Outstanding food. Excellent bartender/wait staff. Would highly recommend!

Excellent and well worth a visit. Refurbished to a very high standard along with a brilliant menu. Our group had various meals and all were tasty and extremely good value. Added to this it is ideally located for visitors and has beautiful views over the harbour. I will definitely be back.

Husband and I went for a meal and it was fantastic. The highlight was definitely the seafood platter. Also the staff are so lovely and welcoming and can't do enough for you. Will definitely be back.
