Superb hotel, just the sort of place that makes an island stay so special. The food was excellent and the staff went out of their way to be helpful. Thanks very much.

One of my favourite places and hotels in the world. Sometimes if i am having trouble sleeping due to anxiety i imagine i am there and i relax immediately. Dreaming of going back! Such a warm welcome, such comfortable rooms, with lovely common areas and a wonderful pub.Thank you so much!!

Went for a meal there on 2nd night of holiday, had booked a table the week before on line with them, the morning of our reservation got email asking if we could pre order our dinner choices, so that they new what we wanted and cook cook fresh, we chose 6oz sirloin steak with chips, onion ring tomatoes mushrooms, which neither of us ate, so we asked if they could take these off and give us coleslaw instead so not to waste uneaten food, had no problem with this request. Food was excellent mum had the sticky toffee pudding (which I wish I had) I had mixed Berry crumble very sharp in taste but nice.View from outside the Jura Hotel, with mum in it.

The Jura Hotel is tremendous, as are the people looking after you there. Officially 3 star-rated, the rooms are simple, as you might expect of an old coaching inn, but comfortable and spotless. The food was excellent throughout; while the regular menu is short, there are a lot of daily specials, which during our stay included venison, beef fillet, langoustine, scallops, lobster and vegan pizza. Our vegetarians felt well catered for, and my Indian friends very much enjoyed the chicken curry. You will need to book and pre-order as there is only so much available, understandably, as there are 11 bedrooms in the hotel on a remote island of only 200 souls. We travelled as a group of seven (from Liverpool) and found out the day before we travelled that our car ferry (Kennacraig to Port Askaig) was cancelled. Disaster was averted with lots of help and TLC from the Hotel, and we crossed instead on the fast passenger ferry from Tayvallich direct to Jura, which worked out very well, as the timings were better, and it was easy to visit Islay using the bus and Feolin Ferry from Jura.

Very well situated hotel with great sea views. The staff were very friendly and the food good and plentiful. I particularly enjoyed the veggie breakfast and I m not veggie ! They also have a lounge you can sit in with books to read. The only slight issue is the lack of TV in the room. Given that nightlife on Jura is not exactly vibrant it would have been appreciated

We want for lunch to the pub. The service was very good and the food came out in a good time. The hotel user a qr code menu and digital ordering system which worked very well. The food was very nice and had a good selection of meat, vegetarian and vegan options.

A great atmosphere created not only by the setting on the beautiful bay of isles but by super-friendly staff who genuinely want to please. Unusual combination of professional, modern customer service with the friendliness and authenticity of a family owned hotel. They are very busy, yet always seem to have time for you. The food is good (not cheap, but fairly priced) and although the menu doesn't vary much it is wide enough to offer a few nights worth of options. Rooms are well appointed, although some are small. A homely base from which to explore a beautiful island.

We had to travel to Jura urgently and were fortunate to be able to stay at the wonderful Jura Hotel. We couldn't recommend it highly enough! The staff, service, food and room were fantastic. We couldn't have felt more looked after! Everyone was so, so helpful and went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. Had a couple of great meals out here & morning coffee. The food is good - as in proper good, better than expected. Staff are lovely and friendly & very accommodating. Particularly pleased that special dietary requirements are no problem, just no fuss at all, which made us want to go back and would highly recommend.
