Situated a few miles up a single track road but we worth the visit. A friendly wee tearoom and a great selection of distinctive single malt whisky. Tours were available but I did not join one this time. Tasting were available with the Drivers dram a bonus. Branded glass ware and clothing on offer amongst other things.Well worth the visit.

Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The tour was fantastic. Our tour had just missed the barley as it had just been moved to be dried. Our tour guide caught us before we left the distillery and took us back to see the staff spreading the new barley on the floor. Cool experience and will definitely visit again.

Although we've been many times to the delightful cafe we've never experienced the tour....until today! (So lovely to be able to take the children along too)Amazing place! What a story!.... told by a super friendly and informative tour guide.I'm not a whiskey drinker but hubbie was a happy man with the wee drams he tried and lunch was superb.Definitely recommend a visit!

Loved this place. The aims and ethos I can really buy into. The cafe was superb (Cullen Skink, BLT, coffee) and the gift shop was full of very tasteful goods for all ages. The whisky? First class and full traceability from field to dram (barley from Islay, distilled on Islay, matured on Islay, bottled on Islay) and err, drank on Islay ;-) specials only available at the distillery too-a great touch. Lovely local staff.

We didn't have a tour but it's worth the beautiful drive for a tasting! It's a nice place to relax, enjoy a tasting and there is a cafe as well. Nice indoor and outdoor spaces to sample Islay whisky made with barley grown on their farm. The tasting room is spacious which is a plus during covid.

A really lovely story behind this distillery! Our tour guide Sharon was great - a real natural and had a great balance between sharing the info (sometimes quite complicated but always broken down) with a really warm approach. Such great value too for the tour that included two drams and the glass! Really glad we booked to come here and would happily recommend to other visitors (and locals!) to Islay!

Had an excellent whisky tasting of their core range in the new visitor centre - if time permitted we'd have eater at the cafe as well. Staff was very welcoming, and very spacious and tastefully designed. One of our favourite Islay distilleries, especially as its relatively young and independently owned.

Excellent experience. The vision for the 100% Islay malt is superb, whiskey also superb. Very knowledgeable guide with great experience of the operation. The whole place is pristine, Covid-19 secure.

Highly Recommended!Kilchoman should have been visited once as Islay whiskey fan. Especially as here is also expanding rapidly and you can currently still feel the original farm character. We booked the premium tour and Nicole was our guide. I've rarely seen anyone who, like Nicole, is so passionate about whiskey and Kilchoman. Thanks for that Nicole. That was a really great experience. Also, the shop is nicely opened and the food is delicious. Then you should indispensably still invest the 5 minutes and drive to Machir Bay. Perfectly. We will be back!

The distillery tour was great. The guide was very knowledgeable and she was able to explain the process with detailed information. There's a restaurant where you can have lunch but it can be quite packed on lunch hour. If you're going here in the morning for a tour, I may suggest making an order for food and book a table for lunch beforehand. The gift shop offers quite a lot of their whisky in mini bottles which are great for souvenirs.
