God, how much I miss this place. Now have to travel 8 miles for a pint or meal! Sadly the owner Steve passed away a couple of year's ago and hasn't reopened since.

For me this place is fab. Lovely food and very relaxing. Staff pleasant 👍

Stopped in for some lunch on Saturday afternoon, hadn't booked but they managed to seat 7 of us and our dog just as indoor eating was allowed during coronavirus distancing. Staff lovely, food good too, great to eat out for our first time in 4 months!

Great meal. I don't normally like pub curries but the jal frezi was superb. Friendly staff, good beer. Looking forward to returning in the near future

The staff happily accommodated our large party for an evening meal with a special menu for the vegetarians and vegan amongst us. Service was excellent as was the beer. Food was delicious, I particularly enjoyed the fish and shellfish soup.

Friendly atmosphere, warm and welcoming. Food is excellent, service is excellent. I've not stayed here but I've eaten here many times. It has good parking facilities, outside beer garden sheltered decking area. Great for functions as well. I wish all the luck to the new owners

Stopped in for some lunch,we had breaded fish and chips with onion rings ,peas and tartare sauce, very tasty good-sized portion and well priced . Staff are welcoming and friendly. It was very busy when we arrived but our order was taken quickly and food arrived without delay . Pleasant visit will go back again

As it is summer with a higher volume of customers in the restaurant they have decided on Saturday evenings to have a more limited menu. This has puzzled a few customers including ourselves as instead of what’s popular the menu is for a more required & restricted taste. However the manager on noticing that our enquiry was not being met by an unhelpful waitress was very accommodating. As always the food was excellent.I believe it would be better to have the choice of a few popular dishes on the selected menu. Also it would be nice if the waitresses smiled & had a more approachable & helpful attitude.

We've had an amazing time! Steve is the most caring and friendliest man! Thank you for making our visit so relaxed! The Hotel and Bar are totally cool and have the Scottish charm. We love the traditional and cosy atmosphere. The room was very clean!

Lovely memories of a wonderful visit here. We initially stopped for lunch, and liked it so much that we came back for a very nice dinner. Our 3 (yes, 3) cocker spaniels were welcomed and they really did behave very well under the table whilst we ate. Dogs & well behaved children welcome. Food was wonderful and a really great menu, best bar I've seen in a long time (and I used to be in the trade), spotless toilets, nice wee car park, friendly owners on site and nice helpful staff. THE best place to eat on the island. Very recommended.
