This hotel has the potential to be a great "getaway" venue. Granted they are still working on this, but its got a ways to go yet. Fairs fair though, they were short staffed for our Murder Mystery Night ( which wasn't really up to scratch, but that's not the hotels fault) ... The staff that were there were run off their feet, but managed to pull it off. ... yes bits of the hotel are needing a bit more attention, but on the whole it was a very enjoyable stay. .... and yes we will be back. .....

Avoid at all costs. In urgent need of a refurb or a bulldoze.Rooms were tired, musky and mouldy.Barely noticed the matress was on the bed it was useless.Ran out of foods for breakfast after only being open for breakfast for 30 mins, this was also not communicated to us we were just served with replacements upon ordering.Bar prices are decent, probably the best thing about this place. We went to reception 4 or 5 times for towels for our room as we had none. Other guests had no loo roll.Wifi signal non existent. No phone signal in any rooms either. As for covid even though it'll soon be taking a back seat, NO MASKS worn by any staff in any area of hotel. No signage for residents to wear masks. We were looked at funny for having them on.Bar glasses were dirty. Breakfast juice served in pint glasses. (A minor detail but still)We will not be back.

Had a relaxing stay. food was lovely and enjoyed breakfast. Room cleanand had a view of the Loch. Staff couldn't be any nicer and friendly would go back.

·

Staff excellent, so friendly 5 stars for them and the bar area. Room was a bit tired, they could do with a freshen up, more attention to cleaning the bathroom mold would have been better... fine for a few days, not sure I'd want to stay any longer.

We were down for a party night, had a great night. Staff were great & helpful. Food and service was great, rooms are basic but clean and comfortable. Parking is busy on these nights so arrive early!

Not so crazy for this place. There has been a recent upgrade of this Hotel, but I prefer the other options in Arrochar. If you like flavoured Cider or bland Lager, then you might enjoy the Bar,but if like me,who likes an IPA,then you'll have to settle for something not so tasty.

First of all I want to say that the staff couldn’t have been friendlier and more helpful. The girls working the bar where lovely and full of chat, the woman on reception was very helpful with my disabled mother. When we first called to book, we requested a ground level room as my mother is disabled and requires to use her mobility scooter. We where told on the phone that there where no ground level rooms available so the room we where first put in was the 1st floor which my mother had to walk to as the lift couldn’t hold her weight with the scooter. We had to lug our bags to the room, which was a lovely size and would have been ideal for us, however the room was about 11 rooms away from the lift which my mother wouldn’t be able to walk everyday. I went back to reception and the receptionist agreed with us that it was too far and she gave me 6 ground floor room keys to go and look in each room to pick a suitable one (so all ground floor rooms were not fully booked as told previous) we found a room which was half the size of the first room, the bathroom was tiny and there was no room to keep her mobility scooter in there so we had to keep this in the car which meant she couldn’t go anywhere unassisted. The room was frozen cold as the heater took so long to heat the room. We had to take the kettle back to reception as it was broken and there was an empty bottle of vodka in a drawer which told me the room hadn’t been cleaned. The towels stank to high heaven and we had the same towels for the 4 days we where there..no one came to clean the room during our stay and I had to ask for more toilet roll and I was handed a half empty roll from reception, so I had to use the main hotel toilets as no one gave us toilet paper. The room conditions were very poor, I discovered the curtains where covered in black mold at the bottom which didn’t do my mothers COPD or asthma any good. I was looking forward to using the hot tubs as in the pictures online it looks secluded, however the hot tubs are facing out onto a main road and anyone passing can see you. I think this hotel needs closed down, refurbished and more staff hired as the staff where terribly short and often had to rush about and I felt bad for them as these issues don’t seem to be their fault. Never returning and I hope anyone who reads this review thinks twice. We also left a day early and have not been reimbursed for this day. Again I want to say the staff couldn’t have been nicer and more friendly but the cons outweigh the pros I’m afraid.

I stayed here with my wife for 10 days and it was great. Andy was amazing and made our stay feel really like at home. Beside it's lovely landscape, food was delicious and fresh. Want to thank Andy, Megan and other amazing staff. I hope I get to stay there again.
