Good size rooms. We'll equipped. Food great and staff really friendly and welcoming

·

Lovely location but staff situation needs addressing. Long wait for average cooked breakfast (after it was taken to someone else's table!) Wouldn't visit this hotel again unfortunately but definitely return to Campbeltown.

This hotel is lovely the rooms are fresh and warm and very clean .the staff are excellent and helpful also the food is top quality all fresh made and local . I had Loch fine scallops which were lovely and then Loch fine fish pie which was excellent will definitely stay again thank you

·

Very nice but can't give it a 4 nice feel to the place as it's an old maternity home ...food is lovely but breakfast waiting time is long 40 minutes and quiet disorganised at times however the room was pleasant and staff are friendly

We went for a family meal last night. The setting of the hotel is beautiful. The staff were really helpful and friendly and couldn't do enough for us. The menu was excellent with lots of choice. The food was delicious 😋 Definitely the best place I have eaten in Campbeltown, by a mile. Will definitely be returning.

Amazing room which made us feel like royalty. The reception staff were lovely and accommodating. The dinner service could have been better but that was ok as the food was incredible. Highly recommend.

Lovely old building with an interesting rich history. Fabulous outlook overlooking the sea.Plenty of extra complimentary items in our room, even a notepad and pencil.Slight issue with the mattress, could feel the springs, hence 4 stars, but staff were friendly and helpful.

Old House hotel with a lochside position in Campbeltown. Stayed in a well equipped twin room with a good sized bathroom. Staff were polite when ever we encountered them. Breakfast was included and had a nice range of options. The location of the hotel is approx. 15 minute walk from the centre of town/harbour. The hotel is situated a little up a hill which may present problems for push chairs or wheelchairs.

Went here for dinner and was very disappointed. Not in the food which was lovely but in the service and the manner in which the owner held himself (someone so obviously inexperienced in hospitality but thought money could probably solve that.) Hiding in a cupboard when things went awry is not the way to treat paying guests. And leaving an already rushed off her feet waitress to deal with numerous complaints from customers about waiting times is simply not good enough and shows a lot about the character of someone who does that, and also doesn’t lift a finger.I must commend the waitress who was dashing about non-stop and even helped out in the kitchen. And as I said the food was lovely- starter of prawn cocktail was generous with the prawns, and nicely presented. Main of turbot was wonderful, well cooked fish and a sauce that complimented it perfectly. Also the view from the dining room is wonderful. With more staff this would have been a great. Also, maybe shortening the menu would help ease some pressure in the kitchen. However waiting 2.5 hours to have a 2 course meal and waiting over 20 mins for the bill was too much to warrant a higher score.

We had a lovely time at this hotel. Thankfully it doesn't have the corporate feel of a big franchise hotel. It has more personality. A lovely building with loads of character, situated in a lovely town. The staff are very friendly and were always happy to cater to any of our needs. The food was very nice also. For the price it was a bargain. We will certainly be returning in the future.
