This place was initially going to get a positive review for the fish n chips we had however absolutely shocking customer service soured our experience. If I could give it no stars I would. Myself and partner went in for our dinner, 2 fish n chips, which were tasty. We then moved tables in order to watch the band who were coming on. We bought ourselves another round of drinks and settled ourselves down. A short time later a rude member of staff came up and told us he was taking our table away, no apology, no explanation why, no attempt to resit us anywhere else....on saying we were here to watch the band, he told us there were seats through in the back lounge. We said we were wanting to see the band, he just shrugged his shoulders...What a way to treat paying customers who had spent time and money in the premises and would have spent more. Staff need more training in customer service. We left and spent our money in another bar. Won't be back.

Great atmosphere and some of the best Bar food I've ever had. The staff are all friendly and I have to say that if you were waiting to catch a ferry to any of the islands and were looking for somewhere to grab a bite to eat, then don't go anywhere else other than hereI have been here numerous times now and as ever atmosphere is great and food is always top notch, even the sharing nachos that I probably could eat all by myself

I have not been out in the town in a couple of years, decided to go here for a couple drinksIt was fine.Only complaint would be the music was a little too loud and made communication to my friends difficult.Mostly a young person's pub now.Was a regular place for me from 1999 till mid 2000's.

Went in for lunch today, had tempura prawns and nachos... both fantastic!! Another good point, its a great wee place! Unfortunately the mains arrived freezing cold, burger looked very quickly thrown together, the wrap was the same. Staff didn't ask us if everything was okay, even after seeing 2 full plates of food returned. £40.20 for 2 starters and 4 cokes essentially.

Brilliant pub, great live music and great atmosphere. If you ignore the sticky wet floors and the fact you can't see the bar and the shoving and trying to fight to toilets, this is the place to be in Oban. Can't wait to return.

Fantastic helpful friendly staff great food at a reasonable price

Great tasty, hearty pub food . Good enough to eat here 3 times during our week in the area. Dog friendly was initial reason but boys loved the wings / nachos / burgers / steak pie/ man n cheese so much we kept going back .

Lovely friendly pub meals are delicious, nice place to sit outside on a sunny day

Went in here for a meal and to watch the football and enjoyed it.The food was pretty good, decent choice on the menu as well. The steak and ale pie was outstanding, good portions and well priced.Only issue I had was that no staff wore masks, not behind the bar or when serving meals to customers. All the other bars in town followed the rules and enforced them strongly, I never thought I would feel unsettled by this but I did. If customers have to play by the rules surely staff should as well.

Typical english pub with just in front of the seaside with a lovely view in front of the bay! Generous portions, good tasty food and cocktails! I really enjoyed the chili hot dog, but it was a dish of the day....Maybe if you are lucky you can find it! I recommend this place also because of the live music during the weekend and the pool table!
