Mr C's Fish & Whisky Bar in Argyll & Bute

Firstly the Inn isn't on the Loch, rather across the road. Having said that there is a walkway straight to the Loch from the hotel. The beach house rooms are also located there. The rooms were compact but comfortable, unfortunately the floors creaked everywhere. There are no lifts, but 1 of the staff was kind enough to bring my luggage up. The staff are really friendly and helpful. They have a dining room as well as a bar area. The food wasn't bad. Breakfast was quite substantial with a lot of choice.

Visited for my 50th birthday.Bar area was bitterly cold in the afternoon.Ordered the fish at dinner and it looked and tasted like the batter was cooked twice. Steak Pie could be doing with more seasoning.Overall lovely hotel, beautiful location. Friendly staff. Would return.

I had a gift voucher for dinner and breakfast over night stay, but when I phoned the hotel I ask for an upgrade and was told to ask when we arrive, but to my surprise I got an email saying what room we were getting and it was the beach Ben more room down at the beach house, we were not disappointed it was a fantastic room with great views of the Loch, the room was massive as it was the family room a great shower in the bathroom, and it was very clean and comfortable no complaints at all, from the young girl on reception I’m sorry but I can’t remember her name but she was so helpful and very pleasant, and when we went for dinner we were greeted by another young girl called Chloe very cheery always smiling and very helpful nothing was any bother to her she is a credit to the hotel, the guys were also very good when serving drinks at the bar and service at the tables outside, our dinner and breakfast were fantastic great food and plenty of it, we’ve been here six times and it just gets better and better we have never ever been disappointed with the great service you get here, I can’t wait for my next visit I’m sure it will very soon.Thank you to all the staff at the Inn on Loch Lomond.Mr Alastair Campbell

Wow. First night at ‘The Inn’. Food was impeccable. Portion sizes just enough, the quality is absolutely fantastic.I had a chicken CEASER starter, the portion was somewhat in between a Started and a main, I was pretty hungry so this was such a treat given the salad was one of the best I’ve had in the UK. Every bite got better and better.For main I leaned toward the steak pie w/Mash side of veg & gravy. Unfortunately they didn’t have mash or at least I don’t believe they did, they could have just got my order wrong as it came with chips. the chips that accompanied seemed double cooked, crisp and not drooling with oil, so I was happy with this substitution.The steak used in the pie was the not ‘skimped’ out on, it was lean meat full of flavour & the gravy was to die for. The pie was a little different than I’m use to in the sense it was more like a stew with a puff pastry top (wish I took photos) but none the less it was FANTASTIC.The young woman who served us & 50 other people was so attentive, sweet & efficient. The system they have in place for dining is perfect, little to no food waiting time & the quality is 10/10. I just couldn’t understand how they could be SO efficient & have it all at the same time. Quality, well timed, amazing service/lovely waitress.Can’t wait for tonight’s food!Breakfast this morning was great too, amazing poached eggs, twinnings Earl grey tea did it for me! Room was lovely, staff were all super friendly and helpful. Food was fantastic, breakfast all freshly cooked to order .Only critisism is the lighting in the restaurant. Every table except two were using mobile phone torches to read the menu. They really need better lighting.Otherwise an ideal location and the folk singer in the bar was brilliant.We will definitely be back

Lovely overnight stay modern room and bathroom, clean lovely views over LochWas there celebrating birthday nice card left in room.Disappointed in evening meal main course as it wasn't to warm ..some of choices not on menu. Affordable price for a comfortable room with beautiful view in a superb location.Breakfast included we had a range of choices for hot food including veggie and gluten free options.Dinner was the most delicious pub food we have had in a while. I had the steak pie with gorgeous vegetables and beautiful mash. 10/10

Was given a gift of an overnight stay. I was absolutely delighted with this hotel. The rooms were emaculate. The food was great. But in all honesty the staff were outstanding. Every single member of staff was so friendly. Couldnt do enough for you. Even though it was obvious they were short handed and under quite a bit of pressure. Will definitely be back

A very good experience. The steak was very good and reasonably priced. The drinks were also reasonably priced and the staff were very friendly. The room although small was perfectly adequate for our needs.

Used a groupon deal. Very good value. Booked for a Sunday afternoon in January which looked to be quite busy but wasnt really as the put everyone in the one area. Waited more than 30 minutes between starter and main. We asked for another drink while waiting on main course and had to ask again just before the main course came. My food was lovely as I had ordered muscles however my husband ordered a chicken burger which was cold. We could have sent it back but as we had waited so long for it he ate it cold.
