Excellent fish and chips. Every time I get to Oban I have my fish and chips from here. Good chatting with staff.

·

The staff was quick but courteous. Rather friendly! They were out of haddock and made us up some with a little wait. The portion size was huge for me but perfect for my hubby. Lovely place!

·

The server was abrubt, the portion of chips was small and full of crispy. " scrag" ends. The fish batter was oozing with grease. The actual fish was lovely but again a small portion for such a costly price. I had been looking forward to this treat all day and was so disappointed. Will not return

The place was closing a lot earlier than we expected but having been before over ten years ago we really fancied a cod supper. Due to current delivery issues we had to settle for the haddock instead. No harm done - absolutely superb fish supper!

Can't fault the food at all in here, everything was lovely. My wife, our 5 month old son and myself also experienced his first 'real food' here (reaching out for a fingertip or two of mushy peas), and his expression also confirmed that the food was lovely. This fish and chippy is a place we will never forget and will definitely be returning to.

Everyone seemed to enjoy the taste of their suppers but I had ordered a smoked sausage supper which came in batter?Never encountered that before. Not for me. I removed the batter and it was much better. Not a great deal of chips with the supper either. Fryer also seemed to take umbridge at the fact we asked him to put items 'in' when we arrived and told us to speak to the female staff?

Very disappointed. We couldn't live further away from the sea, but our fish and chips is so much better! Coming to Oban we were looking forward to fresh, quality fish. Instead after a long wait we got thin, dry, overcooked fish. Expected so much better for £10.50 for a large battered cod to take way, with regular cod at less than half the price......... and with a seal of approval from Gordon Ramsey to boot!

This chip shop is superb. My son even gave their Haddock 9/10 with I have never heard him say about a chippy.Food eatenScotch pie chipsHaddock chipsBattered Black puddingCod chipsSteak pie chipsBattered white puddingSalt pepper squid

Over priced for what you get. Had a scampi and chips and a calamari and chips. Sent the calamari back as it was over cooked. They did replace it, it was better than the first but still not great- threw half of it in the bin.The chips were OK, but nothing special.I'd ignore the picture on the billboard outside as it certainly doesn't live up to the expectations we had.I certainly wouldn't recommend this place to someone you like.

Best fish and chips in Oban and was recommended by locals and our driver. Simple menu to choose from and fast service. Lot of variety on chips and you can combine them with few items. Smoked sausages are good and recommended. They have large portions, slightly expensive than usual portion , but if you are hungry, then go for it. Taste is good and simple cooking. Staff is very friendly and happy environment.... highly recommended!
