I am so glad they reopened before my Oban stay. Lovely local place Very busy when I visited. Very good prices for such great quality seafood. I even got some mussels taster for free while standing in the queue! Cannot recommend them enough. It might take a little waiting as they seem to get very busy, but the wait is definitely worth it!

What can you ask for more from this place?? I’ve been twice during my four-day stay in Oban. The seafood platter for 2 is amazing! The sweetest prawns I’ve ever had! And the langoustines were heaven! My second visit I bought langoustines on their own because they were so good. The oysters were so fresh and sweet, and such a good price too. I had them twice!Scallops are giant! I also tried the crab sandwich, which wasn’t measured up to my expectations though. The staffs are super lovely. I hope to come back again this year!

This place is simply unreal! It s literally a little hit by the port selling fresh seafood that one can eat just outside the hut. The quality is so great and everything is so fresh. The price is super affordable considering we are talking about fresh seafood (even oysters etc!!) I would love to have a chance to go back!!

The Oban Seafood Hut definitely has good fresh seafood but you must be patient to finally get your order. The quality of the fresh cooked seafood is tops. The freshly cooked mussels are especially good.Around midday so many people are trying to order seafood that the staff is definitely overworked. With a little better organization it would certainly be a much better experience for all the customers who are trying to get some good food. When a lot of people are ordering food you have to expect 30 to 40 minutes waiting time before your order is ready.Fortunately, the waiting time as well worth it because the freshly prepared seafood is definitely worth the wait.Would we go here again, yes, however we will try to find a time when not so many people are ordering food.Positive points:- very good freshly prepared seafoodDelta: or negative points, The whole process could be quite easily be better organized.Would we go here again? Definitely yes.

Absolutely amazing fresh seafood. Wish there were more places like this.. Far to often if you want some nice seafood you have to go to a restaurant that over complicates things, this is pretty much from the boat to the shack to the plate.. We checked out the reviews and decided to make the drive..(quite a way from where we were staying) and cant recommend enough....

Excellent seafood as long as you are comfortable eating outside. This is basically a Seaford take away but they serve simple high quality seafood.

One of the best seafood experiences I have ever had. The chap handing out delicious free mussels like confetti made me laugh and the mussels were delicious. We ordered the grand platter and some oysters, all the food was incredible but the highlights for me were the scallops, oysters and mussels. Really good atmosphere outside the place too with everyone chatting to each other and complimenting the food.

Been to this place many times over the last decade? ( seems like it) always fresh...always top quality...I mean those oysters....for a pound each! If you come to oban you simply MUST come here. Can get very busy....but that's just because it is that good. ( also do take away of their stuff...on my way home to glasgow with a grand platter right now)

Came here last year, enjoyed the seafood so much that we came back here this year with my parents to enjoy the fresh seafood. The oysters in particular stole the show today. They were very fresh and sweet, and they are only one quid each! (I wish they had shallot and vinegar sauce though)

Hubby and I had a seafood feast in Oban! We were really lucky with timing as we managed to avoid long queues, got a space stand at a table to eat and most importantly we arrived at 2.45pm before they closed at around 3.30pm for the day once everything seemed to be sold out. Really friendly staff, and so kind to give us some mussels to try whilst we were waiting in line. We had mussels in garlic butter, prawn tails in garlic butter, a whole lobster and a dozen fresh oysters for just under £45, all cooked simply but exceptionally well and not overcooked. Exceptional value given the feast we had. Definitely worth the visit!
