Brilliant pub with brilliant service! Went over and above to give our dogs water and interact with them. Really genuine friendly service and amazing food. Can't reccomend highly enough!

As a former local to Dunoon and Innellan I came home to see family after sometime away travelling as I work in the hospitality industry. My sister lives in Innellan and my Mother still lives in Dunoon.We had gone for a walk along Innellan and we decided that we would like some drinks and it was dinner time. When we seen the Osbourne had lights on my sister suggested we go there.As we entered we were looked up and down by a older lady with glasses. When my Mother asked if they were serving food we were told not until 6pm.It was 5.20pm.So we decided between us that we would have some drinks and wait.Then this lady again looked over her glasses and told us she wouldn't be able to serve us any good until at least 7.30 or after. The place was empty with no customers in the bar or restaurant apart from a man finishing his pint at the bar.I was confused now and looked at my sister and Mother to see what they wanted to do.The lady continued to stare at us not even welcoming us to sit and have a drink at a table. My sister was really uncomfortable at this point so said let's just go somewhere else then. We said thank you and goodbye and didn't even recieve an acknowledgement from this lady again.Not a word.We ended up out at Lock Eck having a lovely 3 course meal and drinks. We spent over £150 and even got a lovely hot toddy on the house to warm us up by the fire.We had a lovely time at this other establishment however it left us very perplexed as to the attitude of the lady in The Osbourne.You would think at a time like this you would welcome this kind of money and custom in your till but instead you left us feeling unwelcome and as if we were bothering you.I hope the owners read this and at least acknowledge this and perhaps remind themselves that every customer deserves the same service.I hope this lady can reflect on this and perhaps she should take some time to do some training and brush up on customer service.As I said working in hospitality I know that every customer that walks through the door deserves service with at least a smile.Making customers feel like they are a nuscience is not a good reflection on your business and word of mouth is everything in this day and age.I do hope management/owners take this into consideration as it lost you business as we won't want to return now.However we do wish you the best in the future.

Great food, friendly staff and owner, and a great location.

Our first visit to the Osborne and we were very impressed. All meals were excellent, the steak was cooked to perfection and the service was superb. There was a lovely atmosphere and we highly recommend it. We will definitely be back soon.

Excellent quality food, ale's kept as they should be, very friendly service and good sized portion's. Prices are very good.

We have been coming to The Osborne for a few years now but will never get fed up. Cracking views and lovely rooms and very good value. The owners , Pete front of house and Elliot chef are perfect hosts as are the staff.. The quality of Elliot's food is superb. Try it yourself but book in advance for lunch as its so popular. Try the Sunday Roast, great quality and a very reasonable price ( and portion). All in all give the Osborne a try you will definately NOT be disappointed.
