Peatzeria in Argyll & Bute

Pizza tastes and looks like cooked from frozen. It its way too expensive. Older woman(manager?!)sitting by a table was rude and despite an empty restaurant we couldn't get a table. Got two takeaway pizzas paid almost 40£ and it will be in top 10 worst meals i have ever had. Staff was on their phones and didn't seem to care much. Not coming back. What a waste of time and money.

Gorgeous views of the beach. The food really surprised us as we were expecting a typical pizza place!We had the prawns and salt& pepper squid to start, and the scallop pizza and crab pizza for main. Thoroughly recommended!!!! The cocktails look great too!

This is a fantastic pizzeria located in the heart of Bowmore. Friendly staff, comprehensive menu and plenty of choice for vegetarians. The restaurant is small (so book to avoid disappointment) but with beautiful decor throughout. Well worth a visit.

Had the vegan pizza on the menu, it was delicious. I'm not sure I'd recommend the 15" oblong pizza as it's not even larger than the 12" round one.Vegan cheese available on any pizza and you can build your own pizza so very flexible for vegans.Chips are served in large portions and are fried in vegetable oil so suitable for vegans.I'd recommend asking for a table upstairs when you book.

Fully booked but i was only costumer... ok so i have ordered takeaway pizza meatballs with jalapeños... I get pizza what taste and look like frozen pizza from co-op .. really?? Meatballs taste like god knows how old them are and only 2 slices of jalapeños ... and all of that for £14 don't bother going there you will be better get some frozen pizza from co-op

Went with a group of 10 people, food was really nice, staff were friendly and helpful, will definitely go back there if your on Islay do go visit..

Tasty pizza bases with friendly staff and an eclectic option of specials. The black pudding, goats cheese and red onion shouldn't work but it does. Yummy!

If it’s a sunny day on Islay then there are two things you should do (on the other days when it’s raining make the most of the distilleries of course!).One is to eat the smoked mussel and brandan rost (hot smoked salmon) pizza. I add the salty hit of anchovies to this. Sitting on the small back terrace to Peatzeria, looking out over the bay at Bowmore is a heavenly experience.The other is to walk off the over indulgence of the pizza with beach walk at the stunning Machir bay.

We visited Peatzeria as part of a weekend on Islay and Jura. Sharon the manager was really friendly and accommodating when we asked to move our booking 2 hours to spend longer in the beach. This was not an issue despite it being a Saturday evening. The pizzas were absolutely amazing and service really good. We were lucky to have a seat outside, where you could imagine seeing seals and the likes popping up now and again. Plenty of outside seating too

The pizza was incredible and the atmosphere was great. I had a bit of trouble hearing the server because a kid's birthday party was going on at the next table (we realised after they left that the restaurant has music playing!), she was super understanding and friendly about it. We had the Italian sausage and salmon (_bradan_)/mussels pizzas, I hate we only had the one night there because if everything was that good...The beer selection was limited but they have the range of Islay brewery and both the beer and water were COLD, perfect for the heat wave battering the island last week.

Delicious food and very friendly staff. We did not have booking but there was space for us outside. Serving was quick and reasonable prices. Highly recommended when you visit Bowmore. And I love the name of the place.
