Superb Samphire! A absolute gem! The food was delightful and the service was spot on! We booked in advance based on recommendations and I'm so glad we did. Great selection on the menu and specials board inc gluten free options. We'll be back soon on our next visit to Inveraray.

Dropped in with no reservation - the staff were so friendly and welcoming. The food was just lovely. We had muscles as a starter, which we shared and salmon and haddock fish cakes. Cooked to perfection with a lovely sauce. Absolutely recommend!

Definitely visit Samphire whilst you are in Inveraray or near by - but you need to book ahead by over a week as they are nearly always full.This place is definitely worth the hype and the good reviews.They have a wonderful menu, lots of seafood choices of course, but even some non-fish dishes. I can highly recommend the starters, particularly the chowder, scallop mousse, oysters and scallop specials. I had the pancetta wrapped hake for my main which was incredible, cooked to perfection. Others at our table had the half lobster with langoustine and someone else had the seafood stew. They were all cooked beautifully and they were delicious.The wine menu isn’t huge but they do have a nice Sancerre which goes nicely with the seafood.Dessert was the least special of the courses but the sticky toffee pudding was good.To look at you wouldn’t think it was anything special, but the food was outstanding and the service was fantastic too. Thank you Samphire for the great experience!

We had a fine dinner here last night. Booking essential. Excellent service, the warmest of welcomes and very accommodating with menu twists and wine suggestions. Only improvement for us would be option of plant milk with hot drinks. A real highlight for the town. We will be back!

I had fish & chips and banana cinnamon cremé brulee. It was tasty and the service was very nice.

A wonderful experience. The waiting staff were so lovely, attentive and knowledgeable. The restaurant was small but the hearts of all was large.We had the taste of the loch. It was good, not perfect…mainly down to the sauce. Another indulgence was the 800g pot of mussels. Top quality and the sauce was sublime. I even used the sauce for my platter!!The price was every bit worth it, £90 for the platter, pot of mussels, bread and butter, fries and two drinks!! Thank you staff, this was an absolute joy.

Great small seafood restaurant. Fixed menu and daily specials; on the day we visited these included young squid fried in breadcrumbs, and a big plate of langoustines, both of which were delicious. Then some homemade. All in, dinner for two including wine came to a little over £100. Lovely staff, just what you want from a local restaurant on the banks of a loch.

Fantastic and helpful staff. Great sea food. I would highly recommend to any fish/seafood lovers. Make sure you book in plenty of time as small restaurant.

Worth an almost 18 month wait (thanks covid). Absolutely delicious food, beautifully presented and plentiful. Delightful, friendly staff and I'd like to formally adopt the chef. A perfect evening and this still remains my favourite restaurant. Can't recommend enough.
