Brilliant! Staff excellent, great with kids. Food also really good- beautiful fish chips and peas. Definitely would come again xxx

·

Food was great, staff very friendly all cooked fresh to order, and the cakes OMG all made on premises, they even do a chippy night so you can get your fix of a fish supper if you are missing 1,

We turned up for breakfast at 8.30 as the posted opening time is 8am and wer asked to return at 9 when they start serving. When we returned at 9 we were told to wait another 10 minutes which we did. Whilst waiting other people were allowed to enter and sit down with no explanation to ourselves. We ended up leaving as we did not feel welcome.

This is a fabulous place to visit on Jura. Not in any way historical but my goodness, the grub is good! As was the service- we had the pleasure of meeting Andy who catered for 2 hungry adults, a couple of grumpy kids & a labrador puppy (who was given doggy ice cream). We opted for a full English brekkie (which comes in 3 different sizes - the largest of which needs an aspirin as a side). A variety of freshly baked cakes are available and for these alone, worth the visit. There is also a fine selection of ice cream available and these looked mighty fine (alas, the full English took care of any tummy room so we didn't partake). A welcome display of local arts & crafts are on display & available for purchase. Outdoor seating is available with the customary view of the main harbour. Conveniently located just off the main road, walking distance from all other buildings. 4 stars not 5 as its a wee bit on the pricey side. But we'd gladly go again. For cake. Or maybe ice cream. Maybe both

Due to it being so busy there was unfortunately a long wait for food, not down to any fault of the team, just be prepared to wait for your food. When we did get our order, boy was it good. 10/10 for food. Also had Ice cream afterwards. Wow amazing although was pricey. Just under £20.00 for four cones. Ouch

Went in for takeaway 2 panini’sWasn’t told about the waiting time .Waited nearly 45 minutes . Came with salad .cost £20 supposed to come with chips . No chips . Couldn’t even supply plastic forks . The food was fine but no t impressed by the service

Have now eaten hear a number of times now. We had squat lobsters, lobster, langoustine, and a chicken supreme. All were delicious. Service was as always friendly, polite and very efficient. Carry on the good work.

This seemed like such a lovely place with really nice waiting staff and a decent menu, but sadly our experience was let down by the chef unreasonably shouting at an elderly couple, as they (quite rightly) asked about food they had been waiting on for an hour. Was genuinely upsetting to see and ruined our day in Jura.

Lovely fish & chips, really good coffee & the carrot cake was delicious. Gigha ice cream is fantastic. Andy & staff are really friendly👍

Massive portion of Mac and cheese with chips, a salad and coleslaw. Easily enough to feed two people! The staff were lovely and the food was good. The island ice creams are also great! If we’re going to be pedantic, the pasta was penne, not macaroni 😜 but who cares when it tasted good, right?
