Amazing! Really friendly staff. Incredible food. Lots of choice for different diets and really interesting flavours. Perfect setting too.

Day trip for my father in law's 70th birthday lunch.Food was so good. Fresh as fresh can be. Every dish was a winner. We were so well looked after. Staff were great. The monkfish katsu curry (didn't get a photo) was a favourite in the group. Smoked haddock fish and chips was a new experience. Can't believe more places don't offer that.Scallops, langoustines and lobster were great. Can't wait to come back.

What a beautiful place, food great we tried the boathouse a few years ago which made us go back this summer seafood heaven

Disappointing. Used to be excellent! My previous trip was a couple of years ago and everything about the Boathouse was excellent.Came back in July 2021 and was bitterly disappointed. Under new ownership and with a Michelin star I was expecting another seafood feast. Weather was fabulous. Busy and seemed a good job we had booked a table.Sadly the scallop starter was a poor start. Two small scallops and a few peas. An expensive £4 per scallop. Little taste. Just poor. The main course was no better. Expensive. And finished the meal feeling hungry. Not sure what the Michelin star was for, as there was no evidence of anything special.Cant wait to go back to Gigha. But there are much better places than the Boathouse to eat on the mainland. Good for a drink, but don't recommend the food anymore...

The setting is stunning (even on a cloudy day), staff are very friendly, attentative and accommodating, and there is a varied and wide selection of food.It does take a while for food to arrive, but as it is so perfectly cooked, and tasted fantastic, it is well worth the wait while you stare at the white sandy beaches and the yachts.

Stunning location on the water with a white Sandy beach. Outside and indoor seating.Food is outstanding with a large selection of specials. Lots of fresh fish dishes in a sort of a la carte element to some of the dishes. Kids meals were £7 at our time of visiting.

Great service and the food is unreal. Couple that with the view and I'm struggling to think of a better place to eat, particularly when the weather is good.

Lovely surroundings, friendly staff and superb food. Could not fault it in any way. Excellent.
