We stayed for 1 night at the chalet, which was really big and beautiful and had everything needed from forks, to glasses, cups, salt, washing machine, tumble dryer etc. The young woman who welcomed us on arrival was very nice and helpful. However the service at the restaurant for dinner was very slow (and the food was scarce, the kids and I were still hungry after a main meal and a dessert), and the breakfast team the next morning was less efficient than that young woman. The only real problem was: the noise ! I could hear the train passing every hour or so (yeah, didn t sleep much) and there was a lorry that stayed along the road with the gas on that really ruined our night! Too bad coz we loved the chalet and the nature around!

We arrived on Sunday the 27 th of March, looked after by a very nice lady and gentleman who had to leave, they said staff should be with us in an hour or so.The following morning when we went for breakfast, the hotel was locked up and there were no staff. When speaking to other guests, some who had been there prior to Sunday, their experiences were shocking, one of the guests closed all the fire doors on Sunday evening after seeing that there were no staff. We were supposed to be there Sunday, Monday leaving on Tuesday but had to book into another hotel. We left our details at reception along with other notes from other guests but no one has been in touch.

A very nice part of the world 🌎. I was given a room but the bed was not made. Towels were left in the shower. Went down told the gentleman on the desk about it. He was very helpful. He gave me a different room. He was very apologetic. Asked if I wanted breakfast I said no because I will be leving to early in the morning. So he asked about a take away one ie sandwich. Juice ect. I said yes that will be fine thank you. He said he will leave it on the desk. When I got up to leave at 2.30am there was nothing there. . Just one of those thing's. There is a petrol station ⛽ about 500 yards down the road to.

Had an issue with the room I was put in, however staff immediately moved me to another room and ensured everything we needed. All staff were fantastic and couldn't have been better throughout the whole stay.We were there for 2 days for a wedding and the staff were very efficient, easy to approach and helpful. Would definitely stay here again.

The worst hotel I've ever stayed in. One staff to do most things not his fault. Place freezing, ran out of booze food terrible my friend had to leave with his daughter. She ordered small fish not fish fingers as she doesn't like them, you guess she got fish fingers, I would have left to but was over drink drive limit. Owners need to realise this before nobody uses their very nice but not well run hotel 😕

Where do we begin. This was a booking. Com break for my wife's 70th birthday. So I wasn't expecting miracles. However how wrong can we be. The staff were amazing. Gabriel the manager met us and although we arrived early showed us 4 rooms to choose from all with different views. The rooms were exceptionally clean with en suite shower room. French doors leading out to beautiful gardens. This was ideal for our wee dog with lovely walks from our room down to the river. That night our dinner was amazing. Choice of 3 starters 4 mains and 3 sweets. We had whitebait to start. They were the size of small sardines dusted in paprica with a garlic dip. Cooked to perfection. My wife had the fish course whilst I had the steak and Guinness pie with suet pastry. Melt in the mouth. Totally delicious and so much I couldent finish it all. We retired to the bar area where we were hit with sticky toffee pudding. Never tasted anything better. The sponge was so soft and succulent with gorgeous sauce and ice cream. What a meal. One word of warning. You place your breakfast order before you have dinner. Of course you order the full works. The breakfast was out of this world so well cooked and delicious. Eventually we waddled out of the restaurant like two telly tubbies. Here you meet the brilliant House keeper serving delicious coffee and toast. We were so well looked after. We will definitely be back especially because my wife packed the hotel hair dryer by mistake. Look forward to dropping in for coffee.

Stayed here for a few nights and it’s a lovely place. It’s quiet, it’s in the middle of gorgeous scenery and still pretty close to Oban. The staff were nice and welcoming and the food was very good. We especially liked the waitress who took time out to talk to us and recommended places for us to visit. When you can have a friendly conversation with staff it’s nice and welcoming. The menu was fairly limited but I found most places in this area had very similar menu’s that were limited and this place had a better selection than some in my own opinion. The rooms have French doors that lead straight outside so you don’t even need to walk through the hotel which is better during these times. Would definitely stay here again we loved it here
