Great off chance find for lunch. Very welcoming attentive staff, swift service, straightforward good tasty food. Only 8 tables so I guess there are queues on busy days.

Spotlessly clean, fast and friendly service, excellent choices at a very fair price. Will certainly call again. Highly recommended.

Loved it ,wee gem of a place although was a bit unhappy as I saw a girl come in and be asked sitting in or takeaway today Emma and giving a takeaway and 10 mins later old man comes in and asks for a cheese toasties and tea to takeaway and is told " firstly we don't do toasties and second we don't do takeaways " which i thought was bizarre and rude from a very pleasant waitess

Really nice staff and great food. Dog friendly as well. It filled up quickly at lunchtime which is always a good sign. Steak Pie was terrific and prices were fine with good sized portions.We would definitely return.Nice wee place overall.👍👍👍

Lovely little establishment located in what seemedto be in the basement which was nice and cool in the hot weather we experienced today. Great menu and great service.

Great local - home cooked food. Venison cottage pie was great! As was their fish cakes.

Fantastic little restaurant with great sandwiches for Lunch! Slightly hidden away but the best places are often off the beaten track. Great staff as well. Highly recommended.

Really good food and service. Our lunch was delicious, but the carrot cake was the perfect finish to the meal!

Very very delicious food. I had Lasagne, good size portion but too big for me, anyway ate all of it. My husband had breaded chicken breast, it had a butter taste, was also delicious. Small place, worth to go especially there.

Another lovely meal at the very understated Cottage. Very friendly staff, home made food. Excellent portions and well priced.Fish Cake followed by Beef Curry and a Burger
