Unfortunately had a bad experience. Lovely Venue and staff but the food and waiting time was very poor. Was their for mothers day. A couple of principle items on a small menu were not available, no big issue as it was a busy day for them. We were told food would take a while so were upsold a bowl of bread which was a bit cheeky! Anyway after 1hr waiting we had to chivvy them along.Burger came without half the garnish and it was very average. The Sunday roast was poor, my daughters meat was good but my wife's was full of gristle and inedible (seeing it was her night out that was very disappointing!). Also, if they had wanted Aunt Bessie's precooked potatoes from the supermarket I am sure we would not have gone to a restaurant to eat them! On the up side my son's 1/2 lobster was good (he has expensive tastes) £100 for 4 3 meals of a very average/poor quality and no offer of any recompense for a long wait and a bad meal is not the sign of a healthy restaurant. Oh! and the male toilets were in a disgusting state!!

Liked the atmosphere, staff very pleasant and welcoming, very friendly too customers, you need to be into sea food to get the most out of the restaurant

Wowza! You won't taste what you taste at this restaurant anywhere else. Absolutely amazing food. We had calamari with tartare sauce and foccacia bread with balsamic glaze & olive oil as starters and followed it with seafood linguine. It was one of the best restaurants we have ever been to. The view is also amazing btw!

Amazing, fresh and tasty food, served by friendly staff. Haddock and chips were one of the best ever. The beefburger was top notch - full of wonderful flavours, accompanied by crispy fries. Very attentive staff. We will definitely return. Couldnt recommend Cattle & Creel highly enough. 10 out of 10.

Got to grab the seafood platter for two (£90) but worth it . Whole Talbot lobster langustines, mussels ( that were so fresh tasting could almost taste the sea ) , scallops and prawns (swapped out from oysters as didn't fancy them)With fries , broth and salad to boot .Staff pleasant too . Also had haggis bon bons and calamares for starters. Bursting but worth every penny

Fresh, tasty, just-right portions, reasonably priced, friendly service. The seafood linguine is must have, calamari batter perfect, soup came with toasted herbed pita bread.

We were staying in the area for our silver wedding anniversary and decided to treat ourselves to a seafood platter meal All I can say is wow, service was friendly and exemplary, and the food incredible.Nothing was too much trouble for the waitresses, we will definitely return when in the area.

Shared seafood platter for two.Sea food fresh and local, cooked to perfection. No problems with substitution of oysters on platter for perfectly cooked calamari. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Restaurant very clean pleasant decor . can't recommend highly enough.

If you're staying near Loch Lomond/Gare Loch please give this place a visit, the staff are unbelievable, no request is too much for them and they're lovely to chat to. The food is absolutely outstanding, if you're a fan of seafood I highly recommend, due to the open passé kitchen the smell is amazing. We had the seafood platter and it was sublime, loads of flavour, cooked to perfection. The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated, and even during Covid we felt very at ease and relaxed in the environment they've made. Well done Cattle and Creel, if I could give you 10 stars, I would.

First time here and found it to be excellent! Went for lunch and I had the king scallops with haggis bonbon. Absolutely delicious!! Unbelievably flavoursome! Then had the battered haddock and chips. Exceptional. Perfect batter on the fish and the chips were great. The homemade tartare sauce was a bonus. Good service and pleasant surroundings. Will definitely be back.
