I have enjoyed eating and visiting this hotel for 50 years. Our lunch was lovely as always ,we were a little disappointed in the size of portion, the use of frozen chips and lack of peas or salad . We fully appreciate the loss of revenue but it was just not what we have grown to expect. The other dishes the family had were were lovely too .Others found trying to find way in a bit confusing but early days for opening up again.

We had lunch in the seafood bar, excellent service and great food as always, we always make a point of eating here when in the area. We will be back...the langoustines are excellent. Nice walk along the canal afterwards.

What's not to like. Great hotel in a stunning location serving good food by polite and friendly staff. Definitely going back.

I loved this hotel. It was very quirky, filled with art and ornaments and clutter, with wonderful views across the loch. The staff were very friendly and efficient. The hotel was very clean and it had a cared-for feel to it. There were vases of fresh flowers in every room. Our room was a good size. There was a tray set for tea, and we could get a jug of fresh milk from reception. There was extra bedding in the wardrobe and dressing gowns, and the bed was very comfy. The hotel is an older building, with uneven floors. It was very nicely furnished in a traditional style (very Miss Marple!)The dining room was lovely. Breakfast was laid with white table cloths and damask napkins. The menu was good, and the service was excellent. It felt like a special place. One niggle was that there didn’t seem to be any hot water until 7:30 each morning (so no leisurely showers before breakfast). The parking outside the hotel was also limited (though we were assured that no one ever policed the car park round the corner so parking overnight wasn’t a problem despite the warning signs).

Didn't stay at the hotel but popped in for a bite to eat with the family - 6 of us in total. Every one of us complimented the food and the staff who attended to us were incredibly friendly, efficient and happy to answer questions about local area etc.Only get 4* instead of 5* because we didn't actually stay there. The food and service can not be faulted atall though. Would highly recommend.

Nice big bed and decent-sized room with a wonderful view from the bay window. The staff were very friendly - particularly in the Seafood Bar restaurant and at breakfast. We enjoyed watching the boats pass through the canal lock. Some of the decoration would do with being refreshed. Our shower also leaked on to the floor.

Our stay was very pleasant at the Crinan Hotel. Hotel spotlessly clean. Staff very helpful and friendly. Food utterly amazing. Only comment needs upgrading here and there but would not put me off from returning.
