The Oyster Inn Restaurant in Argyll & Bute

With great regret I am writing this review to make other customers aware of the awful experience I have had over the last 2 months with Oyster Inn and booking.com processing a refund for 1 of 5 rooms used at the Oyster Inn. After misleading information and clarifying that a refund for the one room would be processed, and being told when my friends had arrived at the stay that everything had sorted, both Oyster Inn and booking.com are not releasing a refund. If I was told that a refund was not possible right at the beginning or a cancellation fee was being charged I would have gone ahead with that. The cancellation was unfortunate due to my child having covid or else was looking forward to the group stay. Not only was I told that it was sorted on a number of occasions, when my friends arrived they too were told that it was sorted. After a lot of communication with both both parties - nothing has been resolved this has been very upsetting and exhausting and I would not recommend either parties.

Stopped here for lunch as we were passing. Fantastic food and really lovely staff. Everything we had was amazing. We live locally and so will definitely be back. Best lunch we have had in Argyll for a long time.

Had a great stay there with my partner. Staff so helpful and friendly. Deducting one star because the restaurant was disappointing.

First class. Food was brought quickly and each course was absolutely delicious. Varied menu with lots of choice. Friendly, polite staff. We will definitely be back.

Every thing was excellent except the room was far to hot & we had to sleep with fan on that night which didn't help and no windows to open the hotel was lovely clean and food was very good to we even got a sausage for my dogs brakefast lol 😂 😁

Absolutely loved this place. Lovely, immaculate rooms and all the staff are so friendly and pleasant, they cannot help you enough. The breakfast is first class, with as much or as little as you want. The Glue Pot bar has a lovely atmosphere, we had a delicious meal there and the service was second to none. We will definitely come back if we are in the area again.

Great wee hotel lovely breakfast and dog friendly. Room 10 if you want a vibrating bed , it backs onto the laundry really pleasant vibrations 😁

I loved the look of this place and menu especially appealing, but the portion sizes let it down, especially the Seafood Platter, you could easily of put it in the palm of your hand, no mussels and the smallest piece of Sea Bass, I know prices might be high at the min, but ultimately this reflects on what the customer thinks… staff were lovely tho, and place cosy, but food let it down

We have had better lunches here. Starters were superb but the mains were average. Lovely location, fast and friendly service and good value for money ( except £3.50 an oyster ?) . Will return
