The Waterfront Fishouse Restaurant in Argyll & Bute

Always book in here when in Oban... once or twice a year. Really good seafood cooked well. Nice menu at lunchtime. If you get a chance trie the surf and turf OR the mussels.

Lovely restaurant that was perfect for a meal with my Girlfriend when we visited Oban. It's right next to the water and the freshness of the seafood reflected that. The staff were very lovely and even complemented what we were wearing. It's also very affordable compared to some places nearby if you're looking for a nice dining experience - we were even fortunate enough with our timings to be there whilst their deal was on for 2 courses. However, the menu was so nice we ended up ordering 4 starters between the two of us just to try them!

Food was very good and very fresh. Staff were friendly and welcoming and the restaurant was nicely decorated. Background music gave nice relaxing atmosphere which added to the experience. Looking out the window took in stunning view over the harbour and Oban town centre. Would recommend

Had a lovely lunch. Food well cooked and nicely presented. Helpful staff particularly as I’m dairy intolerant, they made sure my meal was free from. One bit of constructive criticism…. The menu notes items in a dish that may cause a problem ie soya nuts milk. But you need to be aware that for many of us it’s dairy that’s the problem, that’s milk and everything derived from..I’d presumed because a dish had no milk in it that would be ok only to realise it had cream in!! So pleased my husband had seen it before I ordered.

Fantastic restaurant with incredible service and beautiful food. Laszlo and all the staff were very professional, attentive and catered to all our needs. Speedy service and the food tasted amazing - I highly recommend the Surf and Turf Salad and everyone else enjoyed their meal too. Thank you for the great experience, we will be back in the future

Was absolutely amazing, food was superb, surt turf seasoning, dressing was delicious, definitely know the seafood was just off boat, so fresh tasting, service was 1st class, definitely go back, need to bring kid's now 😀

We had an absolutely lovely family meal in this welcoming and high quality restaurant. The food was stunning and everything was beautifully cooked; fish, sauces, vegetables, risotto, potato dishes, starters... all perfect. Service was friendly, attentive and professional too. The only downside was not being able to leave a tip by card, which meant we weren't quite able to show our appreciation the way we'd have liked. Highly recommended.

A fresh seafood hot spot! We had many different courses and each one was a delicacy! We dearly enjoyed our evening, not only because of the mouth-watering food, but also because of the friendly service and the beautiful harbour view. An absolute recommendation!
