The view of Loch Eck and the mountains behind was amazing. The food was really good - the best we tasted of the 3 restaurants we visited in our week stay near Dunoon. It was well presented and reasonably priced. I will definitely stop in for food again if I'm ever back in the area.

lovely food and very generous portions. the place is very cosy and service was fabulous. recommended if you want a nice place for dinner near Dunoon

Great place but not very welcoming for drinks, zero chat from the barman, so I presumed that was why it was empty. Such a shame. Preferred the bar and restaurant down the road on Loch Eck, very cosy and friendly.

Wow! A really beautifully comfortable and stylish bar and restaurant. Delicious food choices on the menu 😁

The BEST service and food I’ve ever had on New Year’s Day. We called and just wanted a drink, once we arrived we were blown away by the atmosphere of the place and warm welcome, we asked we we would stay for lunch although they were fully booked, Karen our amazing waitress was able to accommodate us and what a memorable experience thank you, we will be back.

Great pub in a beautiful location. Great food at a fair price, good service. We had no hesitation in returning here during our week on holiday in the area.

A stunning example of what a rural inn should be...a great cosy and welcoming bar as you enter , friendly staff and a beautiful dining room with views over Loch Eck...The menu is a great mix off classics with a welcome selection vegetarian/vegan dishes.Food presentation was perfect and the fare itself was fantastic....we would thoroughly recommend this establishment and we look forward to returning soon

I came for a drink one evening and dinner a couple of nights leter. Lovely food, snug and cosy inn with gorgeous views of the loch. Friendly staff, attentive and kind. Best food for miles around and extremely characterful, historical pub. Lots of interesting books and comfy sofas to while away rainy afternoons. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place - favourite in the area, hands down!

I stayed here for two nights, very accommodating and friendly staff. Beautiful views and great value for money. The food is nice and overall just a lovely experience. Especially after a long drive from London. Would recommend, dog friendly as well which I thought was quite nice to see! Thanks again

What an awesome meal. Fresh, tasty and made my taste buds ping. Limited menu but good choices, great service and friendly co-diners added to the ambience and character but our meal was the best all holiday. You need to book though as this is so popular and reasonably priced.
