For the 20 years I've lived here, if we fancied a chippy tea it was always from The Bridge. Beautiful fresh fish, golden not greasy chips. Not any more. Got a delivery tonight and it was disgusting. Fish cake (where was the fish??) Grey, disgusting and went into the bin. And it was stone cold! A customer lost.

First time trying this place as my regular place was closed. Amazing quality food. Fish was prefect and kebab was tender with crispy fresh salad. This will now be my regular place 👍👍👍

Got an OAP fish supper on Saturday 8th January. I have eaten chips from a lot of different chippies all over the country for years. I can say without a doubt that the chips I got were by far the best I have ever had. Congratulations.

Got a calzone and it had a disgusting measure of sauce and cheese on top causing pizza to be burned

An hour late, rude when phoned about the order being late and the cold food delivered was swimming in grease. The local takeaways are very happy to take our money but very greedy when it comes to service and quality. This is the 2nd time it has been this bad in 2 months. Raise your standards please.

We have been using the Bridge for years, without any problems. Food usually first class. That is till a couple of weeks ago. Dried out fish was the first, A sausage that wasn’t cooked properly. Now tonight’s chips were horrible. This place is going right down hill FAST. I have heard other people speak about it over the last few weeks. I have seen the reviews, recently not very good reading.Have the old owners opened up anywhere else. Some one said they were away on holiday. I hope they get back soon or they won’t have any customers to come back to.

Very disappointing receiving my single fish to find 2 small pieces of fish that was clearly 1 fish cut in half when comparing to my partner's fish supper. Disgusting charging that amount and halfing it. Rang to complain and employee argued with me. Telling me the fish we got in today was all small, so have you given us old fish in the supper then? Anyway, if you receive smaller fish maybe reduce your price or give people more to make up for it. It is not like it is cheap!!! And a decent apology would have worked, I wasn't ringing for a free meal.

We have used the bridge chippy for years and their food has always been excellent. Unfortunately we were disappointed this weekend having received a delivery of two pizza that had been over cooked and the bases were almost black on the underside. Hopefully this is a one off so I've still given five stars for their normal high standards.

Really enjoyed the fish and chips. No issues with delivery time. Main issue was we ordered the Nutella filled doughnuts, which was a mistake. Perhaps we shouldn’t have had great expectations in ordering a dessert from a chip shop, but they were vile and seriously overpriced. Small and made with some really weird dough that tasted bloody awful and had a bizarre texture. Plus, they had salt on them! Boak! 🤢🤮🤢 Do not recommend.

having previously given a bad review, I gave them another chance to see if there were improvements, and I have to say the fish and chips were excellent, freshly cooked, and decent fillet inside the batter. and yes (owner) you had previously advertised that you were filleting your own fish.
