Joes Fish Bar in Dundee City

I always do reviews wherever I am in the UK.... Tonight DundeeNo ideas why this chippy is rated 3.6 coz this has gotta be the best chip steak supper I've had for a long time.I'm not a local.... I'm from the better side of the bridge but I'd ignore any rubbish reviews..... I'm guessing which are malicious.....give the chippy a try....u won't be disappointed!

Food fried right in front of you. Like that. They're chips come outa the dryer the same every time. That is delicious.

They have an easy to use app that gives you a discount for using it. The delivery guys are always really nice and order instructions online are always followed. Only have 2 delivery that's been late and it was by 10 mins.You can order deep fried mars bars. Always thought that was a myth but people must actually eat them if they're on the menu.If you like crispy batter, ask for it in your order as the standard is gooey golden yellow batter. If you like the gooey pastry the best from a pie, you'll love the batter!

I’m writing this over 1hr 40mins after I made an order over Just Eat and I’m still waiting in my food. I called the place asking why my order is so late and was met with a staff member with a snarky attitude which was absolutely not acceptable to address a customer with. Appalling service. Absolutely will not be ordering from here again.

my order was 25- 30 minutes late and was deliverd cold and unedable. when i phoned them they said that they were really busy and would send out replacement an hour later no replacement then i phoned to find out how long it would be to which they replyed with we cant do it tonight and will need to be tomorrow. phoned up today they send out order but tried to charge me more than they charged yesterday for the same order then when i phoned again they refused to replace or refund the order. really dissapointed been going to this chippy for over a decade never had problem like this before with them or any takaway. there customer servis is the worst i have have delt with.Well done guys i will never order from here agian and nor will my friends or family who have also been going there just as long.customer service is the most important disciding factor in any company i deal with.

Just got a delivery. Time for wait was good didn't wait to long ..fish was lovely mop chop steak pie was too ..only gave 4 stars as chips weren't hot ...but meal was really good will definitely order again well worth the money thank you

Hard to judge as I have only had "A Joe's" a couple of times but each time they were very nice...Quite cheap and offer delivery at about £2.60 so handy for a supper on the run (or in pub)Not the best Chippy in the world but a decent one in an area with tons of bad options.

My order through just eat was two hours late. I was waiting patiently until they updated their order as having been "delivered". I called the restaurant to ask them to explain this and was hung upon pointing out it was scamming the just eat system by pretending to make orders on time. I then called just eat to deal with this. When the food came the delivery driver flat out refused to even let me get word in just shouting do you want your food or not. Frustrated with not getting a word in edgewise. I kept asking him to let me speak. Him replying only that he would "sort me out". He began pushing and grabbing me at which point it got heated and shouting between us developed. He was insulting and abusive. All to avoid even taking a complaint to the shop. He threatened me several times before my flatmates had to interject and he finally left. Disgusting way to handle everything from start to finish. AVOID COMPLETELY.
