Mandarin Garden in Dundee City

The food here is really good and the ambiance is okay. The service was really humble and kind felt good and welcoming in the restaurant. Didn’t feel bad about their vibe like they clarified several times if they had doubts about any order not like just keep the order anyhow. This is I like about any restaurant actually. Very good service 10/10. Highly recommended sea food soup to start with.

I made an order at 10 mins to 6pm and did not receive it till after 9pm. No updates, no discount, not even a direct apology from the manager. I asked for a partial refund and was denied. The food was cold by the time I received it. It was an all round mess. If I had had the energy I could have cooked the whole meal by myself in an hour. They ruined what was supposed to be a rare treat for me and my family.

Excellent food with a large choice of dishes. Also 2 menu's to choose from ie Lunch menu and also Evening Menu. The staff are so polite and charming. Would definitely return!!

Really nice food and friendly, welcoming service every time we eat here. The prices are very reasonable. I wish we didn't live so far away as this would be a regular haunt otherwise.

Great place for takeaways and dine-in. Got 3 takeaway dishes today and used them to make 4 bento. Food is excellent, authentic favour, tastes good(not too salty not too sweet), portion okay, and most importantly, they take American Express Cards. ;)

I have used Mandarin Garden quite frequently for takeaway and previously in the restaurant. In most cases I have been impressed by both the quality of the food and the service . This evening the two main courses were satisfactory, but not quite to the usual high standard. However the Starter Box for two was very poor with overdone ribs, overdone prawn toast, greasy spring rolls, the only ingredient in the Starter Box of a satisfactory standard were the mini rollsOn the whole quite a poor outcome from a premium priced takeaway

If you are on the hunt for a new Chinese because Tip Top is closed - do not choose this one. I am never normally one to take time to leave a review but I don’t want anyone to be heart broken like I was tonight. 2 hours and 15 minutes for delivery, which I can just about cope with...However if you are getting excited for the salt and chilli chips don’t - I may aswell have saved money and made chips in the air fryer with a wee bit of vinegar and salt (would have tasted better). The crispy shredded beef was in fact soggy and shredded beef. The mini spring rolls tasted off - id have had better luck ordering them in summer 2020 because by spring coming they tasted to me off.I gave them 2 stars and not 1 because the girls who work there are really nice and polite when answering about delays and tell you the truth as to why your food is late. Maybe better packaging could avoid this in the future.

Great Chinese menu!! The taste for dine in is great, as for takeaway it’s more British Chinese food. Service can be better. They service free soup as a starter.

GOOD FOOD. do not understand the negative review.Food is great, service is fast. Having left home 2 weeks ago, v happy to find this restaurant, it is as authentic as those restaurant at home. Beef was stir fried with plenty of wok fire & charred, a sign of true & skilled Chinese cooking.Toufu fish was simply heavenly.Well done chef.
