Mercantile Bar Dundee scotland in Dundee City

Spent an hour or so in here last evening having drinks with friends.Everything from the atmosphere the staff and the surroundings was top notch. The place has been well thought out with a very high attention to quality and detail.A great credit to the city.

Sat for an hour waiting on our order. No one came to advise what the hold up was only found out our order hadn’t gone to the kitchen when we went to ask where it was. No apologies or drinks as an apology. An hour and a half after we entered we received our food which was nice. Nice place and I would go back but a wee bit of customer care would have been nice.

Greatest new pub in Dundee. Been a few times now when I visit from Edinburgh and the place is just spot on. Staff are really nice and attentive and the drinks are great quality. Food is also nice. It's now the place I think of first when I come through to meet a friend. Keep it up Barrelman's! 👌😁

Friendly and helpful staff who went out their way to assist one of our party who is Coeliac.Fantastic gastropub food, the Barrelman House Burger on the pretzel bun is delicious and the French fries are some of the best I have ever had.Their Espresso Martini cocktail is well worth a try too.Cannot fault this place.

Menu is a bit limited if you don't like chilli's, spice etc but burger was very good a proper burger chips were tasty tho bit too much salt for my husbands taste. The pancakes were lovely, good texture & the sauce & ice cream delicious

Had a wonderful lunch here last week. Staff were so lovely and couldn't have been any more helpful and friendly. The food was amazing and the drinks selection extensive. Also love the decor - especially the cloud wallpaper which I had been eying up for myself for a couple of years and was so excited to see it in real life! Really pleased and would love to return again soon. Wish it was my local!!

Great drinks menu, however the main reason we keep coming back is the amazing service here. One of the friendliest pubs in Dundee for sure!

A lovely vibe and tasty food! We shared some small plates and they were all delicious. The lady who served us was absolutely lovely and so attentive to all guests. The front part of the bar is dog friendly and they brought over a bowl of water for our puppy which was so kind. Will definitely return to try some of the amazing cocktails on the menu!
