HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!As on arrival we passed through a stunning garden entrance, then to be greeted and seated by thee lovely Aria, our meal was fresh, tasty and delicious. Nothing seemed to be too much for them and catered to a very high standard.Must say thank you for a wonderful dining experience. Great value for money, We’ll be back!

Big dirty hair in one of starter dishes. No concession offered and unapologetic.Food average at best, and dinning room was cold.I would not recommend and certainly not have gave them a penny, if I had read the managers comments on peoples reviews, before going.

The food was quite good but it took so long to get ready cause there’s only one waiter working but would def recommend the sushi

Rude staff, weird atmosphere. Left without drinks for over 30 minutes post order and the food took over an hour to arrive. No music on in an eerily silent room. Wouldn’t recommend.Sushi was very average too but rather expensive. Sadly didn’t have a lot of the menu options (the waitress stated delivery problems due to covid which is partly understandable) so couldn’t try everything.Leaving a review for the first time as I was disappointed and am amazed by the comments of the management on other poor reviews which I believe based on my experience are likely very true.

Wow! What can I say? The whole experience of eating here was amazing. Beautiful decor and the food is incredible. There's a huge range of food. I'm just sorry that I couldn't taste it all. Of course, it just means that I'll need to go back again and again. If you're in Dundee, then this restaurant is not to be missed

Great staff, ok food, ultra kitsch decor, dirty toilets. Went through the garden as entrance is camouflaged as Chinese restaurant - the garden is gorgeous! Just a pity it was too cold 🙈ordered edamame which could have had crystal/flake salt rather than cheap table salt. Tonkotsu ramen - the juice was super salty and rich and made all other toppings taste dull. Picked egg was too sweet, noodles not enough chew (tiny bit overcooked perhaps), pork was not horrible but not great either, mushrooms a bit blunt but that's probably comparing to the very salty soup. Sushi rice had not the best texture - a bit like when I make sushi at home and it doesn't go well. 😂 salmon sashimi was not impressive either. Texture of the fish was soft although it didn't smell fishy but its cut was like smoked salmon trimmings. Chef's knife not sharp enough? Cheesecake was very thick - maybe over whipped cream.Giving the fact we LOVE Japanese foods we might come back.

Went there for the lunch bento box deal. Tried the Shomi Sushi bento which had a variety of sushi selection and got the cheese cake as the 3rd course which was amazing! Reasonably priced for the meal and the cheese cake is a must try!

Very good japanese food, but service is much much too long.90 minutes waiting for a miso soup.Could be cleaner, especially the terrace garden. When it was Dang dinasty chinese restaurant , the decoration was fantastic now it becomes ugly .

all in all: great experience.great vegan selection for a reasonable price (£25 per head including drinks which are the most overpriced item on the menu, with roughly £9 for cocktails). the ambient is quite kitsch, but the waiters make up for all the gold paint, they're very nice! the garden is well kept and the fairy lights add a nice touch. I'd definitely go back (and hopefully will asap).

Food was amazing and the staff were very attentive. I loved the decor. I understand they are renovating downstairs but good job for adapting to these difficult times. My partner and I had a brilliant experience 👏🏻
