Arrived mid week for a birthday dinner, all staff involved were lovely and couldn't do enough for us. We arranged cake and balloons for the table and it was no problem for them. Some of the party had travelled to Dundee for the birthday and were extremely happy with the quality of service, food and overall experience. Thank you all!!!

Nice, cosy, upbeat bar/restaurant down at The Quay. The staff are really nice and friendly here too.2nd time coming here for food. This time it was for the boyfs birthday.I had the sea bass, boiled baby potatoes, Mediterranean veg and a tomato and chorizo sauce. Oh ya dancer!! The sauce is tasty, tasty. It's too bad they don't do that sauce as a wee side portion cause I'd dip my chips in it aaaaaaall day! Could not fault my meal. Could've eaten it again, actually.The boyf had the chilli burger, which came with chips and coleslaw. The burger looked really meaty. I was getting meat sweats looking at it! Chips were thick cut and cooked to perfection. Lovely and fluffy inside. Got a couple side portions of beer battered onion rings and a side portion of mac cheese just to taste.The onion rings were really crispy and the mac cheese, cheesy.

Would normally give a good review of this place, today had lamb from Xmas menu, very tough was offered steak pie as replacement was difficult to cut lambwith knife couldn't chew it sent back got steak pie instead it was OK expected reduced bill as steak pie was cheaper , not so, really disappointed won't be back !!!! Booo I must say on reflection waiter couldn't have been more apologetic hence tip given .

Beautiful surroundings. Nothing is too much bother for the staff, so cheery and helpful. The food? Just sublime! It's a tad on the expensive side but you get what you pay for. As a treat, a definite 👍 from me. Couldn't fault a thing. And having had more than my fair share of puds, the sticky toffee ginger cake was out of this world! 😋

Food was fantastic! Staff so friendly and very attentive. Reasonably priced too! Will definitely be back.

Our first time at porters tonight for our anniversary dinner and omg it was the most delicious food ever, first time going out for dinner since lockdown last March and did not disappoint, staff were absolutely amazing too 👏

Delicious food made with high quality ingredients. We had the Porters 6oz Steak Burger and Battered Fish and Chips. Both very tasty. The staff were friendly, polite and professional. The only negative aspect was the wait. We waited a long time to get our drinks and order food. It was a Friday night and the restaurant was definitely understaffed. The restaurant's new policy is 1.5 hours per reservation. We waited 50 min to get our food, and we only had mains. It seems unreasonable to enforce such a rule upon customers whilst there aren't enough staff on shift to provide a smooth service. Had we not had to wait so long this would've been a 5* review.

I went here on a recent family meal and I really enjoyed it.I would suggest people come here and enjoy their menu, for its great.The staff are friendly and the costs per drink is amazing.Even if got come here for a few drinks, I sound suggest you come here.
