Rama Thai in Dundee City

Really liked the pad Thai I had! The spice they gave was actually quite spicy would definitely recommend trying

Last Friday night my partner and I had dinner at Rama Thai. We knew that the owner is not Thai, but he should have done sufficient research to know what Thai flavour is all about. Anyway it was not a pleasant visit, because the foods were hopelessly tasteless. Yet we noticed that place was quite busy. So we guessed that majority of customers do not know any better!

Haven't been there since it opened many years ago. Enjoyed the my meal. Staff very helpful and followed Covid rules

Meal was enjoyable and very good value, staff friendly but restaurant was very cold and I had to put on gloves between courses. The coldness made me feel uncomfortable so had to mark down experience.

excellent quality ingredients, lovely flavours. perhaps I'd want more chilli and lemon flavours in the green curry. excellent tofu, would love a dish that has it as a star!!! really really nice staff. a little expensive for my standards, but it's so worth it.

Great Thai food and lovely staff.

We were a little disappointed by food. All reviews claim that the food there is tasty and well prepared. Ours was not. Ribs were almost rare and hard to chew, but the dip sauce was ok.My fish had a muddy taste although I ordered salmon. My wife's beef was mild not hot.We spent 57£ but we were not happy about it as for three same price you can get much better food.Place is clean and looks very nice but the food has to be improved.

Delicious. Have been a number of times and never fails to disappoint. Nice friendly service, quick to get the food. So tasty. Would definitely recommend. Had the Pad Thai this time. Excellent.

I went to Thailand 4 years ago and this was a perfect replication of the amazing tastes I experienced over there. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for an authentic Thai experience!

The food was absolutely delicious. Tom yum soup was a great mix of savoury and sour as it should be, the mushrooms were roughly chopped adding some meateness to the dish as well. The Thai green curry had a sweet and savoury taste, the bamboo shoots added some needed cruncy to the dish also.Lastly the other starter was the fried ribs with a sweet chilli sauce, these were incredibly good. I highly recommend checking this place out if you want a delicious yet affordable meal out.
